Anything by AC/DC! Come on, they wrote Highway to Hell. Yeah, that sounds real ambitious.

Oh hell yeah I love me some "Thunderstruck". Pull out the driveway, crank it UP.

Actually Testcard is possibly also one of the cleverest opening (and closing) tracks - particularly considering the noise/music debate - launching straight into Horizontal Hold just blew me away first time I heard this

One of these Days from Meddle

Angel from Mezzanine:

Everything in it's right place from Kid A:

Airbag from Ok Computer (could easily say Planet Telex or Packed like Sardines etc.):

Take a Bow from Black Holes and Revelations:

Sgt.Pepper's:

Or maybe Lighthouse from Chaos Theory:

Cherub Rock from Siamese Dream:

Speak to Me/Breathe from Dark Side:

Not from a CD, but a CD-ROM - the "song" does not exist apart from the video. One of the great works of electronic collage music.

Emergency Broadcast Netwrk - "Electronic Behaviour Control Systems"

Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun - Thumb

The opening track to this album is great. Side B isn't too bad either ;)

... space is the place ...

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Ghost Rider from Suicide's first album. Insistent and repretitive with that cheap, buzzy organ sound and god knows what other scavenged electronics, and Alan Vega's deep echo vocals, it just draws you in and before you know it, it's too late and you've experienced 'Frankie Teardrop'...

Gravenhurst - Fires In Distant Buildings - Down River:

Castanets - First Lights Freeze - Into The Night:

(technically it's track 2, but I've conveniently ignored the 28 second intro piece)

Dark but uplifting albums with very thoughtful lyrics.

... but I preferred "Cheree" to "Frankie..."

The Exploited - Horror Epics.

Says it all:

I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Shitting on other people's favourites deserves no respect

Here's another nice opener:
