Anyway, Bitiwg is actually MORE open that a lot of companies I have worked with developing software. I think we could be thankful for that and that they are smaller right now, they do listen to their customers, but be realistic about how much time they actually have.

Are there any crossfades implemented in the arrange view? (Proper ones, not the ones you do in the Inspector)

There are so many options now that I personally am thankful for the icons, even when I know what you mean.ISP wrote:I don't like the icons in routing section, its overloaded for the eyes imho. It was much better and easy for the eyes with just a text.

do the audio and note receiver mix with audio and midi if on the track is data?
and is the note modulation a tool to use timbre and all the per note parameter for third party VSTis? (if yes, I want to dance NOW!!!)
...and is drag&drop midi and audio from and to bitwig from and to the browser and to and from third party plugins now possible?

Glad somebody said this.TeotiGraphix wrote:I don't speak for Bitwig but, if any of you are software programmers, you would know that this 1.1 release with multi-outs and all the other things that are implemented is very complicated.
If this was a project I was working on at this release cycle, I would want a private beta, all that means is you have a small test base that can focus on the BIG bugs, instead of chasing around small bugs that only happen on some computers/setups. After the big bugs are killed, you expand to public beta.
Think of it as the release is in Alpha private right now and will be beta when all license holders get to try it.
As far as Bitwig being open about features, they have with 1.1. Again being a software dev, I wouldn't list out "everything" I was adding to the public until it was tested, what if I had to take some of that functionality away before release for various reasons? Do you think then I would want to spend valuable time explaining "why" I did?
Anyway, Bitiwg is actually MORE open that a lot of companies I have worked with developing software. I think we could be thankful for that and that they are smaller right now, they do listen to their customers, but be realistic about how much time they actually have.

All the current modulators just have a slot that says "fx" that you must nest whatever you want to modulator within, including instruments.crazyfiltertweaker wrote:because there is just a FX slot on the note mod, is it also usable for instruments?

Ah yes, I have to add, that I just think that there was a bug like this mentioned some time ago. I didn't test it properly. But just try to load a Vst into an FX Chain and turn the Mix knob of the chain. Are there phasing problems? I'm not sure - could also be the plugins faultaskewd wrote:This!??
