Sonar obviously uses a hook to intercept key strokes before they reach the plug-in. We could now escalate with our own hook that has higher priority, but we think that this shouldn't be necessary. A well behaved host should respect the Win API and let a key focus on a window be a key focus on a window - or pass keys via the VST API.![]()
I'll see if I get a response from Cakewalk about it.

I have no idea what it was, but it's definitely not happening anymore. Maybe a Logic update fixed it.fisherKing wrote:Geron wrote:Oh, just found out that it's got nothing to do with Zebra. Happens outside of it too.
Guess i'll ask about it on a dedicated Logic X forum then.
Anyway, Zebra is great
odd one, not seeing that (also using zebra in LX)...just mentioning![]()

I believe that Sonar has a setting hidden away in preferences which makes it pass keystrokes through to plugins, but I can't remember where it was.

Yes, you can modulate the LFO rate with KeyFollow modulator.

I have used Diva and Zebra/ZebraHZ using Mac OSX 10.6.8, and it worked well with Cubase LE4. Then I tried updating to Mac OSX 10.9.3: now my Tascam US-144 won't transmit MIDI to trial version Cubase Elements 7 (Cubase LE4 doesn't work with Mavericks)(not a u-he problem of course). But now the X/Y pads, virtual knobs & buttons in Zebra (rev2126) & ZebraHZ (rev2132) and the virtual knobs & buttons in Diva (rev 2154) work very poorly (with mouse). Not sure if this is typical for Mavericks/Cubase 7. Not a u-he problem, but my "French company minimoog and moog modular" synth plug-ins can't be chosen to open in Cubase 7 Elements either (though I can open both in stand-alone modes), though the other French company virtual analogs open fine. I reverted back to OSX 10.6.8 and Cubase LE4 (which I know will get more obsolete with time). Comments anyone?

not sure was it mentioned before or not, but there two tiny feature requests:
1. Chorus: stereo width control. So it would sound narrower, its unacceptable wide sometimes.
2. Delay: separate left/right chanels volume control, or other pan contorl. So I can finally have delay in one ear only.

Alternatively, use the 64 Bit version of the Plug-In.

u-he-michael,
Thank you for replying. My iMac is 32 bit. I can't imagine trying anything newer than Mac OSX 10.6.8 and CubaseLE4 in the foreseeable future after all of the misery, lost time, and lost data we did not properly back up. When I checked Cubase's forums, there must have been a hundred threads (I did not count them) with people with various problems with Cubase 7.

Hi Aaron,
these versions should work fine, also on 10.6:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=419732
I am not sure about CubaseLE4 though. If your computer has enough power,
i would recommend to upgrade to 10.9 and get Cubase 7.
This is tested and works (at least with the VST2 versions of our Plug-Ins).
Otherwise consider using an other Host (e.g. Live, Reaper, ...)
Cheers,
Michael

u-he-michael,
Thank you for the reply. Even if the u-he bugs are sorted out, I don't think I'm ready to go through the OSX update route again until we get a new computer (not in the foreseeable future). If my "French company" plug-ins can handle it, I might re-consider some day. Though, I still get the impression Cubase 7 is loaded with tons of bugs.

Still on Mac OSX 10.6.8, Cubase LE4: in Zebra2 Rev2126: trying the recent free Sharp patches (see recent thread on this forum): I see things like Dist1 in the center gui of the Synthesis page, but I don't see the Distortion module off to the left. I'm pretty certain it was visible as a module off to the left before, so I can't make adjustments to the distortion modules other than removing them or making them inactive. I have the same issue with the beta version (Rev1593) of ZebraHZ, except worse: it does not show the distortion anywhere on the Synthesis page, but I still hear the distortion in the "Sharp" patches. I believe I described this ZebraHZ issue earlier, but did not notice the distortion was still audible.

Can I ask running Diva 1.3.1 x64 in Windows 8.1x64 on Cubase 7.5.3 x64.
Is anyone experience a particulat latency ie press keyboard and slight, noticable delay and sometimes notes not triggering?
Doesn't happen with other plugins on the rig. Maybe a setting in Diva but not been able to solve it.

Hmmm, that shouldn't happen, but I wouldn't rule it out.
I've spent about a month improving/debugging the new voice management code (the multi-MIDI-channel one) for the next version and all the things that can happen are beyond imagination.
