Brought it already but am not using it too much until this is fixed. Sadly.

Can't you create your own metronome clip/track and start it playing before you record?

Just a thought.

What I'd like to know is why can't they just let us have the beta to play around with? If it was given with no support it'd at least be something to keep us all occupied for the next few days. I'm literally dying to try out the new features, and am prepared to put up with the occasional crash.

I'd rather close the curtains, shut the world out, and play with the 1.1 beta for the next 48 hours solid. :D

If we are going to talk about enjoyable uses of time, I need to know the content rating of our replies.

We talkin' PG, PG-13'ish? Or...full-blown NC-17? :hyper:

Did you know that if you hold the button of a tool down it will automatically switch back to the tool you were using before when you let go? So you can simply hold down 5, click where you want to split, and then let go. That seems very similar to placing your cursor and hitting ctrl+e like in Live, maybe even easier.

someone could tell us some minor fixes and improvements?

this is much more important than some new devices...

I have posted many bug lists to the developers and I have found 67 bugs so far, not mentioned the feature improvement ideas....

So I hope some of the bugs are fixed so far...

I asked "Are you guys continuing to improve the support with bitwig to make your controllers as integrated as cubase?" and he replied, "Yup, its also about opening up deeper scripting possibilities in BW. The next version adds a lot!!"
this sounds good. no more "set as a primary device" maybe?
and automatic track selecting without using "shift track- track+"?

Hey, I saw your signature, this is fixed in 1.1, I am recording automation with the Push in session finally! :) No more free run bugs.

Was the Nektar employee talking about the upcoming 1.1 release or the distant 1.2 release?

Teoti, after 1.1 will there still be things that Push can't do it Bitwig that it can in Ableton? I ask because I just saw someone asking about getting Push and Ableton and I mentioned that he might want to consider Push with Bitwig.

Other than maybe browsing VST(device params) stuff which seems to be kind of whacked in Bitwig right now, i would say it does/will do more.

Moss implemented the Ribbon control and crossfades the other day. 1.1 is going to allow sub device navigation so its basically pulling out in front. :) Add track/effect is in 1.1 along with user preferences inside Bitwig's Controller panel. This allows all controllers to save persistent data using buttons, text etc in the UI, pretty cool.

It already has a bunch of helpful UI stuff connected to Bitwig that is not in Ableton.
