Questions...suggestions at Tracktionfest ( purpose of it)

Actually Steinberg used to have a private chat online meeting thing where some of the forum members would be able to chat with the Steinberg product managers and developers. I dont know if they still do that.

As far as T2, the only thing I'm curious about is what exactly made the T2 cut from the famous "to do" list. I mean I've been using Tracktion for a while and have seen hundreds of requests make the list back when Jules was a regular here. So I'm very curious to see if some of the BM (before Mackie) requests made the cut or slipped through the cracks. I cant even remember all the suggestions that were made anymore. All I know is most requests I see now have been mentioned many times before.

I'm happy as hell with T1 to be honest. I spark it up, it doesnt crash, I make some music, everything is running smoothly for me. If we had a better time stretch algo, and no rack-filter delay, I would be in sequencing heaven. Everything else would be a bonus for me.

I don't know him or too much about the fest so maybe it will all be serious T2 talk. If I was him I'd turn up and I'd say "NO talk of T2 ya bastards! Not a peep! I've read the ruddy forum! Good point. Maybe there is a slight misunderstanding as to what the purpose of Tracktion fest is, my understanding is that it will be a get - together of Tracktion users with the developer, to have a relaxed discussion about their usage of Tracktion so far and suggestions for V.1 and V.2 for the future.

Jules has already said that he will not entertain *questions* about T2 but *suggestions* for T2, to the best of my knowledge are surely not a problem.

If we make suggestions at Tracktionfest he will know if they are in T2 or if they will not be considered anyway.

But *if we do not suggest them in the first place* we will have ourselves to blame if T2 comes out without features that all or most of us want.

I may integrate a poll into this thread.

I do not want to spoil the party by turning up at Tracktionfest with loads of questions from Tracktion users who could not make it only to find out that Jules will not answer any of them... V.1 or V.2...because I totally misunderstood the whole reason behind it.

The title Tracktion fest seems to give it away for me. Surely we will discuss Tracktion with Jules?

oh god, what have I started?? I only fancied a few beers.. I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition..

Ok, a few last-minute details - to make me easy to spot, I've got a bright red shirt with white splodges that I'll wear (I never got round to getting myself a tracktion t-shirt, sorry philip). Also, someone asked about car-parking in camden, which is a bit expensive unless you get there after about 6pm (when the traffic wardens go home) when you can park on a lot of the side-streets. There are plenty of car-parks and parking-meters nearby though if you're there earlier.

Annoyingly the weather report doesn't look too great for friday - warm but rainy, so hopefully the beer garden idea won't turn out to be a washout. If it's pouring down and the pub's too packed we might need to adjourn to the Vicoria, which is a quieter pub on the same street. But we'll worry about that nearer the time..

Thanks for the feedback Jules that has cleared this up real quick! The idea behind taking user questions to Tracktionfest was because I thought it was a relaxed way of having a chat about all things Tracktion... But a few beers it is...

I have a house move to complete this Saturday (similar to you recently) this weekend and I just thought I would do the lads a favour by squeezing in an hour or so at Tracktion fest and asking some of their questions as so many of them cannnot make it and then finishing my house move later on Friday night aftwerwards and all day Saturday but I will have to finish that off now instead of going to Tracktion fest ...oh well at least I tried to help you guys.
