Hi
I'm looking for a synth to be used as an FX plugin for an audio track.
Can ACE be fed with an external audio signal (e.g. as a sidechain) to be then processed inside as it was a sound generated by an Osc??

No. But Zebra has that ability through the included Zebrify VST.

You just use the synth you want as audio source, and then you add Zebrify, included in the Zebra 2 installer, as an effect, just like you would if adding an EQ, compressor, reverb etc. to your track.

You could also run an audio signal through Zebra2 and just use its FX section...
