vanlugh: What do you mean by that?? Some kind of intelligent harmonizer? Sorry, but I'd stick away from such thing. It could be a very deep tool if it has to be at least a little usable...

CableChannel: I don't think that's true. If you variate pitch of 2 different oscillators different way, their phases would become different very quickly. I'll experiment with the initial phases though, we'll see if it is worth something...

Quick question: Are the Global ADSR and individual Osc ADSR's intended to work independently? e.g. should any changes to the global ADSR impact Osc1 if its dedicated ADSR is switched on. Please advise. Thanks.

Dang, I can't find that button!!?!?!? Where is it?

The global ADSR is processed "over" the resulting sound. So it is applied as the last item in the chain before FX, after the individual ADSRs:

Osc -> ADSR
Osc -> ADSR + -> Filter1 -> Filter2 ->Global ADSR -> FX
...

OK, dumb question - but I've stared at the documentation in vain for the answer. There are individual osc ADSR envelopes? That's very welcome news indeed! But how do we get to them?

EDIT: Never mind - found it! Not really obvious and easily missed if one didn't know it was there in the first place.

Also, the documentation does not have the Pulse Width feature covered. Can you please describe what it does in a sentence or two. I assume it achieves the same result on a pulse wave as it would on a conventional synth. But what does it do to other than pulse waves. Is it the equivalent of the Skew parameter for simple mode (or the Halves transform, maybe)? Is there different internal processing at work for simple vs harmonic mode? Thanks for any enlightenment.

Here's a simple suggestion....add up/down arrows for Pitch>Semitones too, such that users could easily move in exact semitone jumps. I think easier than fiddling with the mouse or typing in exact values.

It 's kind of voicing like here

ftp://ftp.digitech.com/pub/PDFs/DiscoNt ... /IPS33.pdf

this to give an idea

Bug: Shape Harmonics are indexed with an offset of 1. I.e. if I assign parameter "shape harmonic level 2", it actually controls shape harmonic level 3, and so forth.

Btw, are those saving&restoring issues sorted out or adressed?

May start to work on 'serious' presets now I'm more or less used to MP. But I don't mind to wait for the next beta, in fact I guess it's better to hold breath for the moment.

+1 for triplets in the arpeggiator! Makes arpeggios more musical.
I'd like to program a synth line like the one in this song (synth starts @0:35):
http://www.wildcafe.com -> artist website | http://www.danaandwild.com -> artist website
http://www.phonicfusion.com -> label website | http://www.bedengler.com -> parent enterprise

Yes, it's the same as "Halve", but takes much less CPU when modulated, and well, the audio quality is worse of course, so if you do it, I'd suggest setting Quality to Highest.

The processing for Normal and Harmonics modes is the same, but the preprocessing is very different...of course. Anyway when not being modulated, these are exactly the same.

I didn't read through this whole post to see if it's been brought up but I think separate global control for pith bend up and down should be in every synth. It makes programming expressive and playable patches way easier.

Question: the only way to reduce the velocity->volume sensitivity is by changing the velocity curve under advanced settings? Because this also changes the sensitivity to all other velocity dependent parameters like filters, multiparams etc.
Is there a way I can specifically reduce/remove the volume sensitivity to velocity without affecting the filter behaviour?

Post

Global pitch: Tomorrow's update ;).

Velocity -> volume sensitivity - It shouldn't affect the filters, could you send me an example??
