Hey guys,

I hope some of you like messing around with the FX matrix. And because I really dig the matrix and the synth in general (very light on cpu) I made a little tutorial in creating a nice dry/wet controller for a seperate chain. With this technique you can have eg have a unprocessed dry signal and a seperate complete wet signal flow using the RATIO modul.

After loading the RATIO module you have to assign the following input channels: INPUT 1 and SIDECHAIN 2 plus STEAL THE SIDE CHAIN (this will prevent your wet signal from getting an own output).

INPUT 1 (RATIO CONTROL 0%) and SIDECHAIN 2 (RATIO CONTROL 100%). Place a FX into the second row (I used a delay) and set it to 100% wet. Try different modes eg FADE SMOOTH or CONSTANT POWER (they act as your "PAN LAW").

Cheers
Sebastian

Yes!
Btw. how about making a few such tutorials and place them on youtube? The GIFs are kind of hard to use, you cannot pause it...

Any good recommendations for a free video editing prog? I won´t voice overdub but need something where I put text into. Looking for one for some time now for other synthstuff as well...

With CamStudio you could add annotations to your screen recordings.

Here's a selection of free video editors:

Tried the video thingy today and was not really satisfied. Will check some others later because I need to finish the patches first and that will take quite some time.

Just a quick tip: if you have found a nice matrix setup but somehow running out of slots save your current setup as a preset, load an empty matrix and put a MODULAR block into one of the empty slots. Now reload your recently saved preset and build new stuff around it.

In the attached screen I came up with a pretty cool and simple Multi Tap delay. As you can see it takes up some slots (if you want to have it that flexible) so the MODULAR block comes pretty in handy. :)

Eg I could now add more Multitap Setups via this technique. :)

Cheers,
Sebastian

This software was recommended in another thread for screen recording. I haven't tried it yet. Let me know your thoughts if you do.
