great news!garyboozy wrote:i just tried with Zynaptiq Unfilter vst (a big latency creator) inside an FX Layer device.DMuzik wrote:Bump... would also like to know.askewd wrote:This!?? Please confirm?Ah, I almost forgot: does 1.1 fix the Mix knob timing and delay compensation issue?
Using the Mix knob between wet and dry showed no phasing or audible delay at all.
Is this what you mean? If not, give an example and i'll try it out.
hope it is ok with nebula plugins too.
i usually make a preset as fx layer and fx chain with nebula.
it gives me delayed sound when i turn "mix" knob of that fx layer preset.

if i deactivate fx layer or fx chain, plugins inside fx layer or fx chain also get deacvtivated even if plugin is on?

I would assume it is still not there in 1.1 cause repeated requests have been made and nobody has responded. If it were there I think someone would have said so.spinlud wrote:Pls can anyone say something about metronome pre-roll in clip launcher?
It is important for real-time workflow ._.
I have not downloaded any recent updates or launched the Bitwig demo for a few months. Without being able to properly record to the clip launcher, I doubt I will bother even trying the 1.1 demo whenever it comes out.
I'm in no hurry as Live works fine for me... These things take time so maybe in a year Bitwig will have these sorts of basics worked out. It's slowly getting there.

it should be a feature easy to add...since the arrangement has the preroll already. Hope it will come soonpdxindy wrote:I would assume it is still not there in 1.1 cause repeated requests have been made and nobody has responded. Don't we already have pre-roll with metronome in the clip-launcher. I am using 1.0.14 and can get the pre-roll with metronome to record clips. Or am I missing something?

Actually is possible to have preroll only if you are recording on clip launcher and arrangement at the same time (global recarm on). But you can't record a clip with preroll only in the clip launcher, which is the thing that most of people wantgoatgirl wrote:Don't we already have pre-roll with metronome in the clip-launcher. I see what you mean now, with the global enabled, you get the pre-roll but are in danger of overwriting your track in the arrangement.spinlud wrote: Actually is possible to have preroll only if you are recording on clip launcher and arrangement at the same time (global recarm on). I do see that a clip pre-roll would be useful without the global arm recording. In the mean time, the only possible workaround I see is to duplicate your track and use it purely for recordings with the global arm selected. It's quite easy to move clips once you have a decent take.

Tom,
Any update on when 1.1 beta might surface. It's been about two weeks since this thread started, and somewhere back there you mentioned something about "a month" I think. Are we now just a couple of weeks out?
Thanks!

Bitwig: It depends on what problems are found during the beta phase for 1.1 which is why it's hard to give an exact date. As a pessimistic guess it could be 3 months and optimistic maybe 3 weeks but these are just guesses at the moment. So far beta feedback has found few problems so it could be close to the 3 weeks guess.
Im an optimistic so i say THIS friday

There "are" issues and we are sending crash reports on everything we encounter, its got to be longer the 2-3 weeks IMHO. Knowing the way Bitwig works, they would rather take flack from releasing later than releasing something that is going to potentially blow up on half the user's setups.

I'm wondering this too. I like to create lanes in other DAWs where multiple MIDI clips/tracks play to a single device. For example, having two tracks for left hand and right hand separation of piano parts. There's no real way to do this in Bitwig at the moment, and I'm hoping that you can throw any number of "Note Receiver" devices on a track and they all mix/feed into the instrument on that track? If so, that solves this!crazyfiltertweaker wrote:do the audio and note receiver mix with audio and midi if on the track is data?
