I am using OS X but the structure definitely does not have the imported instruments merged with the main instruments. It sounds like something is definitely not right with the structure in your installation. You can reinstall the core instruments (the 8 files if you are using the download version) in a separate folder if you have the room and point SampleTank 3 there and start with that. That will verify the base sounds are correctly set, then you can move into importing legacy libraries and they should be in their own folder in that structure. Support can also assist at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support if you want some directly help from the team.

FYI: RME just released a major 4.x driver update. ST3 still freezes and crashes at the lowest latency (at least here).

An encounter with NI's K5 Player and NI's customer "support"...along with this video,launched my plan to purchase the full version of ST3,instead of Kontakt 5...as I want no part of Native Instruments,whatsoever.

So now...it's just a matter of coming up with the necessary funds for it...but hopefully soon.

Many people miss the automatic assignment of Volume and Pan (#7 and #10) CC messages by default to the instruments. Lateral thinking helped me discover a possible workaround.

Give this a try:
-- download the attached file, unZip it and put the Multi in your ST3 Multis folder,
-- load the Multi in ST3,
-- then load your instruments.

From now on, every time you start ST3, load this Multi first.

And, no, it will not help with existing projects, but you have probably "Learned" them already.

and samples in it. On the first install The instruments and samples where all over the sample drive.I re imported
sonic synth 2 , so far, so good. Some great new sounds in st 3SE I think I will upgrade to the full version.
