Intakt in Tracktion as a loop 'server'?

In my constant quest to get Acid-like loop abilities in Tracktion, I have yet another question: would Battery make this happen easily? From what I understand, it supports loops and they can be tempo-synced, but is this easy to deal with in practice? Has anyone tried it? I may be able to find a used copy of Battery, but would like to know if my use would be EASY to deal with. Easy is definitely my keyword here. Thanks.
:edit: I changed this to Intakt since that seems to be more along the likes of what I'm after. Any comments and tips would be nice.

Ok, I got no clue what you're saying there, but nice Sartre quoteKarbon L. Forms wrote:Batterys! Thats why tracktion disney work! Someone could have said!?!?
Could it be, "No batteries, that's why Traction doesn't work!" Haha, I get it, if that's what you mean.
What about Intakt also? Is that overkill? I have a friend that has lots of old gear he doesn't use and he may be willing to part with some of it. I just don't really want to spend more than $100 to 'fix' Tracktion, and I don't want to deal with an expensive solution. I wish One/Solo could work with any AIFF or WAV, that would have been near perfect.

What you're looking for is NI Intakt. Battery wont do a very nice job of syncing loops to tempo.braj wrote:In my constant quest to get Acid-like loop abilities in Tracktion, I have yet another question: would Battery make this happen easily? That's what I'm figuring. Intakt can be had for $159 US on Ebay right now, but hopefully I can find it for a better price. At least I'll know that it's unlikely T2 will have all the features of Intakt, so I won't feel like I wasted my money. It doesn't look like they have a demo available though, can anyone speak to it's ease of use, and how well it plays with Tracktion (CPU, etc)?AD80 wrote:What you're looking for is NI Intakt. Well I use it with Tracktion all the time. CPU is very very light. Even when time stretching. The interface is good IMHO. I really like it. But you know you should try it out first if you can. Maybe at a local music shop or something. Everybody has a different opinion about useable interfaces.
I hope T2 has better time stretch. I dont see why it wouldnt. I like the way Tracktion handles loops, I just dont like the time stretch. Nothing handles loops as easily as Acid. Its still the king IMHO.

OK, so I tried out Intakt and it does what I want, but it's still not very fluid. It's powerful, and if loop functionality isn't improved in T2, maybe I'll get it. For the time being, a friend has loaned me his copy of Sonar 3 to see if it works for me. It's got the looping stuff down, so I'll probably keep Tracktion on the back burner until T2 comes out. That makes me kind of sad really
