The v8.05 plug-ins are not loading my customized styles, nor are they listed in the Styles list.

And this Style Config window was in a plug-in that was using "Minimalistic_DS"

Hmmm, how did you create these styles? Can you send them to me?

In the Style Editor (May 2014 version).

They were OK back in May - Anyway, I've sent one by email.

You can also just try copying one of the factory Styles (to, say "Wood - Copy"); that is not listed here either.

Aaaaha, got it! It has been moved to "All user" settings. So here:

Windows:
C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction

Mac:
/Library/Application support/MeldaProduction

Yep, got them back.

Now ..., what sort of stuff is in C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction and what is in
C:\Users\DarkStar\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction?

The plug-in presets.xml files seem to be in both areas; those in ProgramData are more recent.

Well, in some of the recent version the "global" stuff has been moved to the global directory. Technical reasons... don't worry about it

. You can delete the styles from the user data folder. It's small, but if you count every megabyte...

OK, and those duplicate (?) ...presets.xml files ?

There is over 200MB in the AppData folder

Yes, but they need to stay there - in some multi-user computers the settings are made so that the presets cannot be stored in the user folder. In fact, the same thing would happen if you'd added another user to your computer. It just needs to be there.

Anyway from the user folder you can delete everything except for the presets, otherwise you loose them. But note that the plugins will still create more files, settings, needed for user experience..

Would do, but I only needed to make a few small changes

All I've done is increase the Small font size in Minimalistic, put the Minimalisitic font definitions into Futuristic and dreamed up a set of Colour Settings Presets.
