Trying to stop log entries regarding Spectrasonics software

Hi there.
I bought a used Rev. C on ebay this week. I am just digging in to it and love a lot of it so far. I have been mucking around and trying to install a bunch free VSTS (mainly the ones that come with Computer Music Magazine) and have had very little success getting any installed. I'm about 1 for 15 right now.

One of the big problems i am having, as far as trouble shooting, is that I keep getting the following three lines popping up in my System Log.txt about one a second. This is making it very difficult to trouble shoot why things aren't installing. Can anyone help me stop this?

Code: Select all

Oct  2 15:05:09 Receptor-1 rm-host: UnsupportedPlugins.cpp::UnsupportedPluginsCount[112]: /c/Program Files/VST Plugins/Unsupported Plugins/Spectrasonics/Atmosphere/Atmosphere.dat 'No such file or directory'
Oct  2 15:05:09 Receptor-1 rm-host: UnsupportedPlugins.cpp::UnsupportedPluginsCount[112]: /c/Program Files/VST Plugins/Unsupported Plugins/Spectrasonics/Stylus/Stylus.dat 'No such file or directory'
Oct  2 15:05:09 Receptor-1 rm-host: UnsupportedPlugins.cpp::UnsupportedPluginsCount[112]: /c/Program Files/VST Plugins/Unsupported Plugins/Spectrasonics/Trilogy/Trilogy.dat 'No such file or directory'

Those folders are in their proper locations...but they are empty...ie. no .dat files. Also...why is it continually searching? As far as I can tell those plugins are not installed on the Receptor.

Also...is it typical for a lot of VSTS to not install properly? I have had very little success getting many dlls to not fail. From what I had read 'most' free VSTs will work fine...and I have had about 25 fail so far.

Thanks in advance for your time...I just purchased the ability to reregister my Receptor so I will do that shortly.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Gabe,

You might check in the Setup tab (of the Receptor GUI) and click uninstall. Check to see if any of the Spectrasonics software shows up there. If it does, try uninstalling it.

Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about it unless of course it is causing your Receptor to crash. As for the plugins you are installing I cannot guarantee they will work. Many of the plugins require a receptorized installers which can be found on plugorama.com. Unfortunately the CM plugins are likely different from the official version.

The best way of installing them is to transfer the .dll from a PC Computer and scanning for new plugins. More information is provided here: https://www.plugorama.com/kb.php?id=354
