@Strangetown - Thanks for the reports, I'm encouraged to try loading Alchemy again. I had the same problem earlier with the missing paths, will try again asap.

@StudioDave The only other thing that has changed on my system since the last time I tried to install Alchemy is I've just previously upgraded to the latest stable build of Wine (1.7)

What am I missing?

Followed the instructions for Ubuntu 14.04 on the first post and build was successful. When I search Airwave from Dash (I'm using Gnome Shell) it doesn't find any airwave related. Neither clicking the airwave-utility.desktop file works.

Feeling so stupid. I don't have a clue what to do next. I'll propably facepalm after getting the answer.

shanttu, if you have followed my instructions from this thread, then the Airwave should have been installed to /opt/airwave.

Yes it is, thanks. Got it working from clicking the airwave-utility. Huge thanks for your work! Unfortunately couldn't get Kairatune working.

shanttu, kairatune doesn't works with wine (I checked with Reaper), so it is also will not work with airwave.

One small update regarding Alchemy for anyone considering installing it, you only have to point the plugin at the correct location of the libraries one time. After that you can safely ignore the requester that keeps popping up every time you load it. Just hit cancel.

Hi, phantom-one, I have version 1.0 Kairatune, that works fine in wine/reaper.
The newer versions do indeed crash. But 1.0 is still a fine instrument.

I'll bet if the dev, or a wine coder, compared wine terminal output between
the run and the crash, some fix could be cooked up.

Strangetown, I am unable to run Serum even in the Reaper. Because of this I think that this crash is not related to the airwave

phantom one I used the binaries you posted on another kvr thread yesterday and all seems to go well up to this point of trying my plugin in bitwig. It drops into the track but 'Could not load plug-n. Plugin host died: End of stream.'

So I looked at the Log on the airwave utility (should have done this when I made the link I guess).

The plugin I'm trying should be a simple one: Velocity Curve SM.dll

The log messages start to look suspect from the seventh line on:

gravy, have you tried other VSTs? Where have you installed airwave (/opt/airwave)?
Anyway, it's better to test plugins with some windows VST host and wine (Cocos Reaper for example). If plugin crashes in such environment, then it's probably a wine issue.
From your log I can suppose that plugin has crashed at initialization stage. You may try to build airwave, of course. If you have any questions, just ask, I will try to help you.

OK I'll try a few more things before attempting a build. Will let you know. What I have described is the only thing tried yet. Thanks for the offer of help.
