You are not alone - I suspect there's a whole lot of folks who are pretty annoyed at Waves about the surprise restrictions that were not announced up front.Hans25 wrote:Anyway I think that the $50 voucher terms stink. You'd think that a company that has a convoluted copy protection scheme and forces customers to pay yearly fees for basic support would be more respecting of their users.dmbaer wrote:You are not alone - I suspect there's a whole lot of folks who are pretty annoyed at Waves about the surprise restrictions that were not announced up front.Hans25 wrote:Anyway I think that the $50 voucher terms stink. Look at the terms on wavesuniverse. You have to have an email adress that doesn't belong outside US:Paulnz wrote:Just tried it on audiodeluxe and wavesuniverse and neither would accept it. Also looked at plugindiscounts but couldn't find anywhere to enter a coupon code.
"We cannot sell outside U.S., email addresses ending with country name cannot be processed (.jp .au .de, etc..)"
So if you are not resident in the US then try to insert a gmail.com adress or something.

Yeah they are greedy bastards. But at least now we know that we have to buy good speakers and not put 50 plugins on each track, not start a loudness war, not overuse plugins in general and NOT to apply as an engineering assistent at two of those engineers' studios. Gosh I learned a lotjsp1979 wrote:You'd think that a company that has a convoluted copy protection scheme and forces customers to pay yearly fees for basic support would be more respecting of their users.

Go to: http://www.wavesuniverse.com/custom_purchase/
press add to cart button below: Codex Native using Everything Audio code
Then you get a good price. I did
.
Edit: I now got a voucher code from audiodeluxe for Waves Codex Wavetable Synth. Don't bather! the offer is not as good as at wavesuniverse.

Yeah, if you are willing to part with the coin today, you really need to take advantage of wavesuniverse. If you don't know that you want it or want to stew on how upset you are that waves falsely advertised the 50 buck off voucher, then you can pay more later (which you will
)

wavesuniverse has appeased me a bit. So now I got another synth that I don't know if I really wanted but had to buy because of the discount for a limited time. I think I will make some music in my next life if I can take my soft-synths with mehibidy wrote:Yeah, if you are willing to part with the coin today, you really need to take advantage of wavesuniverse. well even with the voucher terms how they are, I am only paying about $6 more than I thought I would for Codex. I'm happy.

Cheers, Hans. Went for it too.
Btw, like WavesUniverse, AudioDeluxe does allow for code EA50 to be used on the JJP bundle, but indeed not on Codex.
Should have read your posts before buying at waves.com
