Good to know it´s not only 16bit as that would´ve been lame in 2014.

I have an update email from Waves; they have downloaded the converted wavetables and they think it´s very bad and unusable. Like I said I think it´s the Synth as a whole and not just the wavetables as is, although it can do some good when imported to other synths, but it´s not the genuine real thing with all the nuances.
if those are really the wavetables of codex? i think they are lame, there are better in the factory of Serum.
honstly i dont like Codex, the design is not to good, the whole synth looks squeezed into not enough space, in serum everything is right on the place and the windows idea with FX, WT is nice solved.
not to mention the hipster in the promo-video, the track was weak and i did not enjoy the whole video.
it was always like hey we are the best, buy our synth.

i have downloaded the last Serum beta 1.0.1b4b, but i dont see this options in the export menu? is this a screenshot from an alpha version?

i enjoyed all the Patchpool demo in general, amazing what was created with it :)
and also the other demo here posted were really good.

It's actually beta5 now (fixed a couple new issues in b4 relating to changes, and fixed another bug as well). I would recommend making sure you're also running the version you think you are (check the Global tab, it will show the version in the lower right -> 1.015 = 101 beta5)

Honestly I don´t like the majority of the Serum patches, Codex is better. But I can see the potential of Serum, so I´ll probably buy both, that´s the simplest solution, oh yes!! Next wavetable synth please!

I bought Codex, I got it pretty cheap, and I like the sound. It's good right out of the box. It's definitely a good synth.

However imo, Serum is in another class. The more I use it the better it gets!

But there's no harm in having both.

There is actually a dedicated Codex vs Serum thread here, so all those comparison-posts could go in there, no? Just saying before the typical KVR warflame-discussion-style takes over in this thread (not addressed at anyone in particular).

Yep, good idea... No point clogging this up.

Indeed, gotta leave room for those hundred or so demo's of every single preset in those preset packs.

Exactly, and leave room for less this vs that, this is better than that and you have no idea what you're talking about because I know better and this is cheaper than that which makes it better than that because this thing rocks and that company sucks and blablablabla

...Which would be much more on topic than the majority of the last couple of pages.

Took the jump and picked up Serum. Enjoying it so far. I really encourage Steve to add in a second reverb algo at some point though. The current Plate algo simply doesn't do the job a lot of the time.

Going to grab this in the next couple of days. Had a lot of fun messing with the demo, although was a little frustrated about not being able to save:)

This is a department where FabFilter just wins with their fully functional 30-day demo policy, no download limits, and increasing discounts the more of their products you buy. It just makes your first impression good, not tainted by whatever demo restrictions often found in other products, intermittent white noise being one of the most infuriating. You have to really believe in your product though to take this approach.

Excuse me... I never wrote that! :o

Though I've had lots of fun, I've spent 18 minutes with the demo then printed the results for some ephemeral tracks :D
