I have been loading my own drum samples into Mdrummer so that I can use a single solution insteasd of running a second sampler. The analyze and import function is a brilliant function.
I do have some further questions / comments / clarifications :
- If I am importing for example a multi-velocity (16 velocity layers) snare with numbering like :
snr_v1
snr_v2
......
...snr_v15
snr_v16
Can I ensure that mdrummer imports and maps to velocity range correctly via the filenames instead of mapping according to its own wave analysis ?
So if its 16 velcoity layers , it should just assign it to equal velocity ranges (100 % /16) based on the filename.
Furthermore, will mdrummer sort the layers as snr_v1, snr_v2, snr_v3..etc or will it do the problematic snr_v1,snr_v10, snr_v11, snr_v12, snr_v13, snr_v14, snr_v15, snr_v16,snr_v2, snr_v3.
-Once I have imported and am playing my sample set in rhythm, it should play straight (same sample for the same velocity) if I have turned off realisticty and super realisticity. However I found that it still varies the sample a little after a few notes. Is there any other setting that I am missing ?

Ok so:
1) No I'm afraid. It always analyses the samples and configures them accordingly.
2) Well, check Humanization parameter (or potentially per-note deflection, randomization...). It doesn't "change the sound", but it can vary velocity, time etc...

Thanks for the reply !
If you ever implement the x-y grid to map both velocities and round robins (as disucssed earlier) please ensure that mdrummer can map velcoities as per file name.
After doing many imports I find that the analysis of the WAV's and subsequent velocity layering is often incorrect.

Is there an update planned to include these things that were mentioned over the past few months? I still can't drag midi clips into the generator if it's floating. The idea for the 0 velocity thing, and other things i don't remember at the moment. Just wondering if it's in the works.

Yep, it's on the to-do list, it may take some more time though, updates for MDrummer are kind of complicated.
