Hey guys,
I got Bazille for the first time last week and while trying out presets, came up with an idea which then morphed into a finished work within a week. Though I initially used presets, I did a fair amount of experimenting to come up with my own sounds in this piece. It uses 12 instances of Bazille, and even though my desktop is a high end i7 with lots of ram, it still pushed the CPU to its limits at times so I did lots of tweaking to each instance to reduce that, but still I got through it. It's a beauty of a beast and I'm pretty happy with it but expect to yet do a lot of work to figure out some of its mechanics. Good work, yet again, Urs and company.

Wow, a while since I listened to anything by Peter, medienhexer, but yes, he's definitely someone I used to listen to a lot. Glad you liked it. For a complete contrast, you should listen to the one I finished a couple of weeks ago, Dance of Kings and Queens. Definitely not out of the Gabriel camp. That one was done with nothing but Reason.

Hey man, I've been a fan of Bill since Be-Bop Deluxe, and think he is vastly under-rated. I still have lots of vinyl of them and his solo stuff too. Kudos for the keeness of insight brother. Aside from which he lives in a town which is also my last name. lol

Reminded me of Peter Gabriel also (a compliment). Even though it is synth, the bass synth reminded me of Tony Levin playing a Stick (nice). If that bass synth patch is an original, I wouldn't mind trying it out

Actually, I'm a huge fan of Levin too and I've seen him twice with his own band and the fantastic Jesse Gress on guitar, both times, in nice small clubs in Vancouver and Toronto. I've actually gone back to playing a lot more guitar again the last few years, as you'll see if you listen to some of my other pieces on SC. I also loved the bass patch and already can't remember if I did much tweaking to it or not, but if so, not a lot. You can download Bazille as a trial if you are interested enough, and it's on sale until the 15th. Hint, hint.

I haven't finished going through all of the new factory presets for Bazille as of yet, so hopefully I find one like that. I have used the trial version of Bazille for a few months now. I have played at a club in Hollywood that Tony Levin has played at before (only 25 years apart). I never get tired of watching this tune with Levin playing the stick in King Crimson:

Funny man, I saw them about this time, 1982-3 or so, in a small second floor space in Vancouver B.C. They were pretty incredible. To add to more weird co-incidences, I saw a great electric guitar trio last night and pre-set included lots of the album Discipline!

Also guys, seeing as I probably got more listens in 24 hours than months or years for a lot of my other works, I thought you might like to hear how I used 12 instances of Zebralette to compose my work, Outer Spaces, Inner Places. There are notes regarding using a few other things for production too.I've always thought Urs' Zebra oscillator FX were/are one of his coolest features, so that's what I got into when using only Zerbralette.
