Are you kidding me ? So you rather be general.. (i.e. vague) so that you can avoid criticism ???!!! what do you think you've been doing so far ?
Guys, is there a preference on this forum I can remove posts if owner is less than 15 ?
So you are implying he joined KVR at less than 5 years of age?

I'd say that makes him worth listening to.

1. Guys with lots of posts repeatedly post why they don't like product A
2. Guys with not so many posts get defensive
3. More guys with lots of posts come to the defense of original poster

Regarding the "sterile" discussion, I'm of the school of thought that I can use any of the multitude of insert/send effects that I might have to tweak a sound anywhere from slightly all the way to unrecognizeable. Lots of distortions out there that when used subtly, can warm up just about anything with a little EQ or filtering added. I actually like the idea of using my third-party effects to shape the sound. I'll take accurate and low-aliasing any day...then again, I have to go put my desktop online now so I can catch up from v.1.0 that's on my machine currently... :dog:

The beauty of Serum is it includes enough tools internally to go in a very broad number of directions.
You can make warm, lush pads or pursue a more digital wavetable sound if you like.
The options are wide without having to leave the synth.

Then, you can do even more externally if desired.
A great tool for the sonic tweakers.... :)

Exactly so -- it's probably good for the plugin ecology/economy that some might consider additional effects to season or sauté the sound or whatever the boffins call it now.

So is the demo version the same as the latest release version? I'm very interested in this thing but worried about the stability issues I've seen reported here and on the various serum vs. other stuff threads. Working all day every day on music for me means that I can't have anything that's going to crash my system at random intervals.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Really nice!

Is that patch taken from concentrated or from a new soundset?

This patch and 39 others (Bonus Pak) have been added to the accounts of all those who purchased "concentrated" for Serum (now 160 presets!).

Thanks all :)

LOL, my fridge is a great resource and source of inspiration for the Serum sound design :tu:

And to complete my Monday morning Serum excursions, here are two fresh patches in a more floating ambient demo, a pad using alto and soprano sax wavetables meets something more strange:

Great demo Simon... nice way to end my day, thanks. Nice and chilled now 8)

I'm finding it harder and harder to resist buying this synth. Intrigued!

Personally, I joined from the womb.
