@thecontrolcenter : really sorry if you lost some time. Systems requirements are written just under the "downloads" section, it has always been there :) but we added it in the kvr product's page too. hope you'll have the opportunity to test tkDelay sometime soon.
(btw, it probably works under mac 10.5, but we did not test and won't support it officially)

- for info the "buzzing noise" bug mentioned above has been fixed in beta 3.

thanks again to everybody for the all the feedback & suggestions.

to all :
You probably noticed that there's no user guide for now. Please let us now if you think that should be a priority.

So here are just a few small tricks that you may have missed :
  • delay times can not only set by the knobs, but also by dragging the displayed values (in free mode) or by clicking the displayed ratio/notes (in sync mode)
  • a few preferences are available, click on the 'tritik' logo or the 'tkDelay' title and then the 'preferences' tab to see them. (yep, the midi ones don't have any effect.. for now...
  • if you need more precision while dragging a knob, press ctrl (win) or cmd (osx)
  • double-click on a knob, and it will jump to its default factory value (marked by an orange dot)
  • if you want to lock a parameter so that it does not change when you load a preset, check it in the 'freezer' which is accessible through the 'presets' menu
  • in the presets browser : right click on a preset to show a contextual menu with some options (rename, show, set as default…) renaming is only available for user's presets. Double-clicking on a user's preset name also turns on renaming. press enter to validate the new name or click anywhere to cancel.

I didn't see this until after testing. Both VST and AU crash live 8.5 with mac OS10.5.8.
I daren't risk Mavericks on my 2007 iMac :(

Yes, and I just wanted to add that right after I reported that Logic "buzzing noise" bug, tritik contacted me and we spent the afternoon testing until the bug was fixed. Great service, I've purchased, and am now happily using this delay in Logic Pro/Mavericks. :tu:

Not extremely necessary, optional tool tips for each knob should suffice (like SlickEQ). Like you did with the filter position, only with a bigger font. Oh, and regarding the filter position tool tips, please add one for each button describing exactly what it does, for not-so-delay-specialists the descriptions and the icons are not really clear.

This is quite unconventional, most other plugins use shift-mouse for finetune and often ctrl-click for reset.

Again, a short explanation in that window would be great!

I really like the possibility to link/unlink most left/right controls, great feature!

I also support the requests for a bit more contrast especially for the gray fonts. Apart from that, it is a very professional GUI.
I'd also like more filter types, of course, LP and HP are a must. Frequency shift modulation would be cool.

No problems so far on Cubase 6.5/Win7 (64bit), but where do I put the presets on Windows, doesn't say so in the readme. Not that they are really necessary, it is very easy to use.

Post

oups, sorry yes, it seems that it's the readme of osx that accidently made its way into the windows zip :)
So for windows :
the 'tritik' folder contains the factory presets and must be added in C:\ProgramData\

I got an error message when i load the plugins on FL Studio 10/11, Win XP
""The prodecure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll""

Post

Bought it. It's indeed inspirational.
I liked it straight away but just to be sure compared it to the delays I have. Waves Supertap is clean and multifunctional. RPDelay has good filters and does some modern and crazy stuff. MMultiband Delay also. Tried some other free stuff, threw some of them away. I don't have the much praised Echoboy or H-delay so I can't compare.
This one makes me play the keys and that is always the most important thing. Congrats to Tritik.

Is there any chance of adding a HP filter?

Just bought. Thanks for the intro price! Can't wait for final version, updates and your next plugin! ;)

This is great plugin. Only things I would like to see in it are:
1. LP and HP filters
2. Ping Pong mode for mono signal or when delay times are linked. As it is in H-Delay for example. When mono signal comes in, 1st delayed is on the left, 2nd right... Also spatial control for this would be great (0-100%, 0 means mono, 100 means 100%left and right)

Do you perhaps run WinXP? It won't work on that.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Hi Turello,

yes, for windows, requirements are 7 or later.
to install you got 2 ways. You can either use the installer or perform manual installation.
In any case, the destination directory for the dll must be the same as the VST plug-in path that is set in your host's preferences.

common locations are C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugIns
and : C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugIns
