FR (or UC): Saving plug-in's current appearance

I wish some of the plug-ins, when loaded and opened, to display the meters and Multiparameters & Modulators panels (as in the screenshot).

I may have misunderstood but ... to do this I need to "Set default editor size" and "Set default settings"; together they also save all the data values.

It seems to me that it would be better if "Set default editor size" were "Set default editor appearance" and saved the size and those settings associated with the current view - Edit mode, panels expanded / collapsed, size % etc.

Or, can I do that already?

Also, when a Preset is loaded, the appearance should not change.

It is generally saved with settings - why? Because sometimes a preset / settings in project are intentionally made that way. For example, imagine MDynamics with a compressor settings - there you may want it to show the gain reduction meter. But then you have gate - gain reduction is often too low, so you want a time graph, where you can easily see where the gate opens or closes. And finally you may have an upwards expander, where you don't need gain reduction at all, because there never is any, so you may want to hide the panel.

It's all a rather grey area, but it is as it is.

In the first part of my post was only only talking about the appearance when a new instance of the plug-in is loaded into a project.

When an existing instance of a plug-in is opened, of course it should have the same appearance as when it was closed. As for opening presets, I get your thinking there.

Yes, your description is all clear.

All I was trying to say was: when a new instance of a plug-in is loaded into a project, I would like it to be displayed an a particular way. I thought that this could be done if the desired appearance were saved together with the size when "Set default editor size" was clicked.
