There are no fade handles on the timeline, if that's what you mean. Though you can easily add custom fades to clips using the gain parameter.

Post

Nothing new on the fade front since launch.

I don't know if I want fade handles on items on the timeline because you already have two operations that you can do by grabbing the edge of the item: extending the item and looping the item. Throwing fade handles into the mix could make it pretty fiddly, so maybe that's best done in the editor anyway.

Crossfades are a bit of a different story though I guess.

If you are referring to Halion 5 then... no. Just tried it. Still no love there.

Just tried 1.1. Some great changes and very useful features. Many nice things that were unmetnioned like saved VST bigwig presets now automatically open the GUI when loaded. MAkes me happy since I save all my VSTs as Bigwig presets for custom organization and now I don't have to click the little GUI button every time I load a VST template or preset I've saved in my own file structure.

I'm disappointed to see that Omnisphere still only shows numbers as it's automatable parameters. This is really unfortunate and impossible to use with Control surfaces. Maybe I'll just have to load it in Maschine or something.

Also, does anyone know how to rename the chains of a multi-out device? When the name is longer than the space given for the chain names, many times they can't be differentiated until you hover over them.

Can you remind me - what was the problem with Halion? Doesn't show up at all? Crashes?

Cheers,

Tom

I believe the full version of HAlion is VST3 only.

Downloaded the Demo of Halion 5 and indeed it doesn't work.
It's scanned correctly but crashes on instance loading.
I created a ticket for it.

Tom

Hi Tom,
I think it's time we hear something official from Bitwig if they will fix Omnisphere and Trilian plugins or not. 1.1 beta still don't.
Just FYI Omnisphere's stylus RMX doesn't have this issue, just the other two.
Right now you're the only hope ;)
Thanks.

Omnisphere and Trillian have the parameter-shown-as-numbers-only problem still?
It is supposed to be fixed in 1.1. I don't have those so can't check.
Did you clear your VST cache?

No vertical zoom. You can switch between single or double track height, but you can only zoom on the arrange by using an automation lane.

I just tried deleting the VST cache on Mac OS 10.10 with Bitwig Studio 1.1 Beta 5 and Omnisphere and Trilian still have the parameter-shown-as-numbers-only problem.

1.1 Beta 5 is a fresh installation (separate folder from 1.0.15). Am I supposed to delete 1.0.15 cache ? If I do will my Device panel mappings get erased on 1.0.15?
thx.
Edit: more details:
Java installed: Java 7 Update 71, and Java 8 update 25 (same Windows 8.1 Pro x64 machine, same user account).
Omnisphere shows only 1's and 2's for all parameters and values.
Trilian, shows 1 and 2's for parameters but displays db values underneath each parameter.

Edit 2:
OK, removed the cache.. same results.
