Now that sounds weird...

Have you other Java versions installed?

Cheers,

Tom

I remember a while back one of the devs was mentioned something about a 'techno-modifier' for the piano roll. Essentially allowing you to scroll through different midi patterns. Does anyone know if this has been implemented. I've read the changelog but I can't see anything that jumps out.

That should be fine, I have Java 1.7.0_71 installed, both 32 and 64 Bit.

On windows, Bitwig Studio 1.1 uses Java 1.8 already (OSX is still using 1.7) but that should not interfere (says Claes) and it does not create a problem on my machine.

Cheers,

Tom

okey-dokey, I wasn't able to start it (win7x64), but it's working now, using/copied/whatever the jre folder of the 1.0.15 version, that's all what I know, I'm not a programmer  nice release congrats anyway

It's not a release yet ;-)
I sent your post to Claes, hopefully he can shed some light on what may be happening there...

so it's running (or it can run) with this version:

Yeah, but more interesting would be why it doesn't run with Java Version 1.8.0_20 for you, which is the one built in.

I still can't activate the Audio Engine... So it doesn't work here still... Also I updated my Sig so you can get better details of my Laptop.
Posted issue to Bitwig website too... But not added computer specs.
Cheers... V.

I feel your pain. Im about to just downgrade but I'm just like holding on for dear life to not have to get a fresh OS

just the fresh beta install not working (I was just very curious so I've downloaded it to my office machine, it has only got asio4all driver), so if the 1.0.15 is started at least once, it's ok with 1.8.0_20 java too

Hm - interesting. So it may be some initialization thing.

Thanks, will keep it in mind.
