Hiya xt-geeks :hihi:

Just about to finish off 24-bit support in xt now, and wanted to know of there are anyone waiting for me to implement 32-bit rec/playback support as well???

Or should I go on and work on performance-playlist and sampler ()?

8)

cheers

Yes please. I'm really waiting for it.
I'm trying to keep it 32float only but I have to convert all sounds I make to 16bit for eXT.

Thanks
K

kagemusha, ok 8)

Btw, do yo have a short mono and stereo wav file in 32float I can use for testing (a bass drum or something...well anything that doesnt sound like digital noise :D )?

I guess the next question is, anyone using 32-bit integer wav's?

cheers

Jorgen, if you implement 32bit float I'm all for it :D
- though I'm dying to see the sampler - if you need examples I could mail you some female vocals in 32bit 8)

just a quick query -

will the bit depth be selectable between 16, 24 (and 32) bits?

of course it will be - not all soundcards support anything else than 16bit b.t.w.

Here are some random samples of a kick, snare and cymbal at 32 bit float. Original stereo files but I also converted them to mono files

it's a rar package

Sampler looks also very intresting

Thanks

Jens this sentence is like a drawing of Esher.

:o - I'm mailing him right now two files which are about 45sec each - I thought they are pretty short
but I am not sure anymore :?

(I usually use 32bit for microphone-recordings which tend to be much longer most of the time)

what do you mean with this? :?

I was only applying common sense :P

edit: it's 'Escher' b.t.w.

If you would have said "not all soundcards support 32 bit"

but now it's like a conflict between the first and the second statement in the sentence.
It's funny, if I try to concentrate on it's meaning I get dizzy.

:) just strange

yep, you're right - I know now what you mean - when I tried to concentrate on thinking about if my sentence was really logically correct I suddenly got all confused myself :hihi:

Anyone using 32-bit integer?

Looks like 16int, 24int and 32float are the most commonly used formats(?), at least among the xt pro's 8)

not all pro's use anything else than 24bit :hihi:

Simon I, there is a new 'bits' selector in the sequencer mixer (in the inputs section).
