Hi,

On advice I started a new thread.

I have installed the new 5.02 from from clean.

Everything installs as expected, and the VST is working fine, but the Factory samples, although present on my system, are not at the 'Factory' location in the plugin (or standalone). All I get is a single hihat/ride.

When I go to the kit editor I see there are no samples listed in the Factory folder. How do I get Mdrummer to point it's 'Factory' folder at the default sample sets? I'm lost :P

Thanks in advance...

P.S. I have downloaded the install files twice, so it appears not to be a file corruption problem.

I know I can use custom folders, but this way I can't access the Kit generator. In fact, I tried just importing the factory library using the import tool, but many of the files were not imported as they didn't match etc.

On this note, it would be great to point to a folder and designate all files within as snares, hats etc. for import as 'snars. hats.', etc. Would be way handy.

Thanks again.

Hi,

ok then. I'd say you installed it to a different location than before, so it is using the previous content, which has actually been uninstalled. So, go to the MDrummer installation folder, where all the samples, multisamples... are and run MDrummerConfig, it will repair all settings.

Hi Vojtech,

I don't want to be disturbing you on a Sunday morning. This is not urgent. It can wait :)

I have installed several times now, and each time run the config. I ran it again just now - no difference.
Initially I installed to the default location. When that was not working I assumed some permissions issue and installed to another location. Same result (VST and Standalone).

As I say, everything seems to have installed correctly except the library is not seeing the Factory samples for some reason. In the file browser the tree is empty. Is there a config file somewhere where I can re-assign the root folder?

Kind thanks in advance
:)

I have installed all previous versions without any issues.
Win764 - I am installing both 32 and 64bit.

Are you sure you are running the MDrummerConfig from the correct installation folder? How big is it?

Anyway, go here:

C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction

There should be a directory called "MeldaProduction MDrummer L". So delete it. Next time you run MDrummer it should let you select the installation folder.

Hi Vojtech,

I deleted that folder and restarted. No change.

The installed size is 7.35 Gb. I can see the samples on disk, but they don't appear in Mdrummer (standalone or VST). Only the sounds generated by 4NN can be heard.

So then I uninstalled exerything, deleted all Mdrummer-related folders, ran CCleaner and cleaned the registry. Then I rebooted and re-installed, allowing Mdrummer to install into it's default folders.

Same result unfortunately. It seems like it should be an easy thing to point the root folder at the samples. They are there, just that Mdrummer is not pointing at them...

Kind thanks,
Again, this is not urgent.

Aaaaaah, damn it, that's because I'm an idiot :D. The folder with the settings is here:

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction

Same instructions ;).
