MLimiter Still Increasing Volume at 0 dB Gain?

In MLimiter, I have both gains set to 0 dB, yet when I apply the effect, I'm still getting a volume increase on the file. Are there any settings I may be missing that are causing this increase? I'm just looking to limit the waveform peaks without increasing the volume. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Inter-sample peaks are still possible with most limiters, this one included.
Try setting your output gain to -0.3 dB and turning on up-sampling. To prevent the RMS level from increasing, set the threshold to 0.

I think the op is actually talking about the overall level increase - MLimiter is actually a saturator (historical reasons), and besides that when you look at the transform shape, the level increase just always happens, unless the threshold is 0dB.

I suggested he turn the threshold to zero so the RMS level doesn't increaseMeldaProduction wrote:I the level increase just always happens, unless the threshold is 0dB.

Aaaha, true
. I thought it was about intersample peaks...

Oh, yeah I should have formatted it better. I was just offering my suggestion for setting it up strictly as a peak-stop "safety" limiter.
