First of all this sounds great, and if you check out the vids it really is a mega synth verging on the modular with the independant LFO and ADSR.
As an original Oddity owner I am entitled to an upgrade, great but.... I have to buy it now and then wait until Dec 1 to download it, would be acceptable if a demo is available now, unfortunately not, there is no demo until Dec 1. All seems a bit strange, why not have a demo so I can evaluate it now and then make my decision.

All that makes me think to what happens in the last weeks just before the release of Sampletank 3: no demo version before the release but total mysteries around the new features, a mess about the prices for the new purchasers, another mess about the upgrade procedures for the owners of the previous version, etc.
With Sampletank 3 I have learned to get away from that kind of nebulous announcements where the bad is mixed to the good. Even if Oddity 1 is really nice and obviously one of the best Odyssey emulations (I said "one of" but not "the" best), anyway I'm now very cold about these marketing politics.

There's nothing on the web site or in the e-mail to Oddity owners about any upgrades to the sound of the oscillators or filters, etc. The Oddity sounds really thin by today's vst standards, not like any real Odyssey I'd ever heard, and since they haven't upgraded the oscillators and filters I'm not interested in version 2.

Yes and no... meaning yes, but I also believe that they were the ones who actually coded Iztope's Iris. So, they have been busy. Please feel to correct me if that is wrong...

Yup, G-Force helped out with Iris in one way or another: https://www1.izotope.com/de/community/b ... h-of-iris/

Have you gotten any confirmation yet? It would be great to have Oddity in the same Sonic league as NI Monark.Gonga wrote:There's nothing on the web site or in the e-mail to Oddity owners about any upgrades to the sound of the oscillators or filters, etc. The Oddity sounds really thin by today's vst standards, not like any real Odyssey I'd ever heard, and since they haven't upgraded the oscillators and filters I'm not interested in version 2.
