I have problem with T5.3.15 x64. Stereo track sounds mono only when I put plugin into the rack. And "Right Output Comes From" in properties panel does not work... It have already been reported?

Feature Request:

An option under general behavior for American note values/division! IE: 1/4 = a quarter note, not a semiquaver (16th note). Trying to find my desired quantize settings is not at all intuitive!

I've been seeing a similar problem. I come back to my edit and some plugs, notably Freeverb, have reset to their factory settings. The factory setting for Freeverb is 100% wet, so it is very noticeable. I haven't been able to pin down what triggers this, since the settings persist successfully most of the time. My workflow is to render to a new track and mute the plugin track, so it's only when I return to the muted track a few days or weeks later that I notice that the plug's settings have been lost.

My setup is 32-bit Windows XP, Tracktion v 5.3.15.

I can tell you i have deleted every trace of T5 when i uninstalled it. Then i re-installed it but still the same problems. If i install 5.3.9 it works like normal. It would be great if i could get some answers from the crew, what to try or do, because i think i already tried most of the tricks to get it going. If it was just one edit i would suspect it was something wrong with that, but it is the same with another edit too.

My setup looks like this: PC, Win7 Pro 64bit, CPU 4790, 8 gb ram. I still use T5 as a 32bit. My computer is brand new, so i guess it´s nothing due to a re-install or something like that. T5 has been working great before, so i suspect it might have something to do with the changes done to 5.3.13. Anyone that have been experiencing the same or have any more ideas how to solve this? (I always run T5 as an administrator so that is not the issue)

Here's how to reproduce the bug. Open a T3 project with T5 (at least in 32-bit Win XP, Tracktion 5.3.15). Some plugins lose their settings and revert to the factory settings. These are some which I've identified with this behavior:

FreeverbToo
Big Tick Dual Delay
TremoLlama

It would be very helpful to get this fixed, for those of us with a lot of incomplete projects started in T3.

Same issue here, on Mac this time... All my ToneBooster settings (created on versions prior to 5.3.14) have disappeared, or rather, returned to default. Now THAT is a real PITA, as I really use quite a few of them.
Also, the Melodyne GUI is not quite fully back, as I have to click a few times on the blank window to have it re-appear. Not to mention the AmpliTube 1 GUI (on a few older projects), which is still blank.
On a more positive note, it seems that, in my case at least, the famous Waves issue (when several plugin instances, some of them would randomly be replaced with a default instance) has been solved.
Still can't use T5 though.

Potential bug: I route the output of Track 1 to Track 2 (T5, 64-bit, Win 7). I click on the Track 2 input. "Treat as Stereo Channel Pair" is enabled and I can't disable it. When I click on this option, the track stops playing.

So, there's no way to record one track into another in mono?

Not currently, all tracks in Tracktion are currently treated as stereo so track output recording also only works in stereo. We may revisit this in the future but for now you can always disable the right channel of the recording or render it down to mono using the exporter or render clips option.

Not sure what you're trying to do, but you can work on individual channels in a Rack.

You can also of course use Patch Bay filters to route the summed output of track A into the Left input of track C, and the summed output of track B into the right input of track C, etc.

Bug report for T5 (5.3.16 / x64 Windows):
Soloing a folder track does not work (nothing is played back) until I manually click on solo of any of the contained tracks as well. Then, the folder is solo'ed. Once I disengage the folder's solo, the track I clicked on previoulsy remains in solo.
It's a bit of a pain...

Also, this ties in with a FR: Why not allow plugins for folder tracks as well?
I can workaround that by routing the folder to a new track an putting the plugins there, but it would be simpler (and "neater") to drop plugins on a folder track, IMO.

Also, though I haven't yet gotten around to reproduce it, the destination of tracks have been "forgotten" between start of Tracktion. I routed several tracks to other tracks and on the next start they were set to "default output" again. This has happend on two projects I was working on. Once I restored the correct destinations and saved again, this has not happened again...

Please fix this bug!

Settings are vanishing for Mackie plugins (at least 3-band compressor) and PSP EasyVerb (as well as the aforementioned FreeverbToo, Big Tick Dual Delay, and Tremollama) when you open the Edit in v 5.3.14 or later.

Workaround is to open a backup of the edit (if you have one!) in an older version of Tracktion and manually copy settings. This is error-prone, time-consuming, and depends on you still having a backup copy of the Edit and an older version of Tracktion handy.

Hey guys! Opening a VST plugin in a rack filter causes screen refresh issues when moving the GUI and cannot be brought to front ! Is this normal? Thanks

Ok... I feel kinda dumb. I've used Tracktion for a while and requested features it already had but never delved deeply into the manual. So, forgive me.

That said, I still think an OPTIONAL mixer view window or even a mixer that pops up within the single screen concept (or both) would REALLY take T over the top. Obviously it could be approached in the same manner and style as the filter section of the standard view. Same arrow-style flow and plugin graphics and such but just oriented like a mixer. For editing, Tracktion is indeed faster and more intuitive than anything out there but mixing can get arduous having to scroll up and down the screen to make adjustments. V-Control is cool but using it with the normal Tracktion view doesn't flow well sometimes because access to the plugins requires finding them in the horizontal view to select them to make adjustments. Realizing that one of Tracktion's uniqueness comes from a lack of a traditional mixer and a single screen, I'm sure at least having the option to mix in a "traditional" orientation would bring some people over from the more conventional DAWs. Most DAW users have already acclimated to translating the horizontal waveform screen and the vertical mixer screen so I'm sure the TSC guys could innovate that and make it more streamlined.

T5 still not capturing the first note of a beat of a EZ Drummer midi loop that's dropped at the beginning of a track.

Feature-Request:

please allow the bpm setting of an edit to be visible on the projects-page.
at the moment you can see type, name, description, project, created, modified, size, length.

please make an additional entry with bpm.

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I have EZDrummer 2 and when I drag a beat to a track, the first note is cut off on play. Could the tech team have a look at this please?
