First of all: Thanks for your kind replies & the interesting discussions herein!!! 8)

Second: You guys will kill me... I just uploaded a new bugfix version of the Nabla.
There were some issues with older 32bit Cubase versions, Sustain pedal, and a typo in my most beloved preset itself...

Cheers, Björn

First I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get real convincing string sounds out of it. But then I tested it on some leads with vibrato & panning, and it sounds great! :D

I think it's better suited for crazy saw lead sounds than for lush string sounds...

Tip: Layered with Z3ta+ 2 (and Deputy), it makes killah leads! :hyper: :wheee:

thank you for the update!! :tu: :)
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I gave Nabla a try just a few minutes ago and have to say I am pretty stunned right now. I really like what I have heard so far. Very good presets as far as I can tell. I gave the whole engine some "have not read the manual" knob twists and I am looking forward to dig deeper into this one.

Very cool small synth. :D

Generative Object Duplication :) technology ... lol ... (could not get the smiley smaller to fit your TM size)

Ok, I spend some more time with it and have to say again: wow!

Awesome awesome sound. Outstanding factory presets. Dangit.

Listen guys, for those who are into 80s/90s House/Techno from Chi/Detroit/NY/all over the world: this one is the shit! So many useful presets. Play some major 7 & minor 7 chord variations with a nice funky 909 beat 4/4 beat, BPM between 118 & 134 and load eg Farpisa Totale or Super Strings or Delicate Dumbness and have some serious Retro fun. Maybe some post processing but this sounds so funky straight out of the box. Really cool. Don´t forget to enable GOD mode too.

Nice job!

I slready started writing a KVR review but actually stopped and decided to write it later when I am familiar with the Synthesis engine by myself. But for the presets alone I would give you 10 from 10. Not for everyone but for those who know...;D

Btw maybe some or even all of those sounds could be recreated on some other analoguish synths too but I doubt that would make any sense because this thing sounds so good already.

Thanks guys! 8)

Again I updated Nabla to version 1.0.2: Some folks had issues with Ableton Live hosts which should be fixed now, and someone asked for a "Circular to Linear Knob Mode" switch... :hihi:

Hi folks,

sorry to revive this old post but I wanted to make you aware that the new Nabla version 1.0.4 is available at my site.

What's new:
  • Added Copy/Paste Program options to File menu (Ragnarök style... :hihi:)
  • Fixed issues during initial loading
  • Fixed minor UI issues

Hi Björn,

I'm a big fan of your plugins, especially Nabla, Deputy and Mono/Fury. Really great sounding synth's!

I was wondering whether you ever considered making a standalone effect plugin of the ensemble, which you have in the Nabla and Deputy. I guess such ensemble effect, with the hidden parameters exposed, and possibly also a stereo width, would be a great new plugin.

Cheers,
Martin

Naming was lead by the mathematical symbol Nabla (an "upside-down" Delta) and definitely not by some obscure association of idiots completely unknown outside the US... :x

Has Urs knocked on your door yet? The CPU efficiency of your plugins is really noteworthy. :) Thanks for the update!
