I must be missing something, but IMO this is the direct opposite of a motivation to buy anything. "Buy now lots of stuff and when you buy enough, everything becomes free for everybody else". I'd rather be part of the "everybody else" crowd TBH. Besides the free update thing, is there any incentive for those who pay for the products?dasdeck wrote:from http://audio.d3ck.netCheers!!! audioD3CK’s free x-mas frenzy !!
Starting today we have a very special offer to make where you can give a Christmas present to yourself, audioD3CK and rest of the world!
If we manage to sell licenses of audioD3CK’s software worth 12.345 € until December the 24th 2014, we will reduce the prices for all our licenses to 0 € (free!) for the time between Christmas and new years eve (24.10.2014 - 31.10.2014)!
That would give free access to all our software for everyone in the world who has access to the internet (including you). Of course, the free software will still work after it is no longer available for free, in exactly the same way as if you bought the software at the regular price.
In case we reach our goal of 12.345 € what will happen is:
- -licenses for all(!) our software can be obtained free of charge for the time period of 24.10.2014 - 31.10.2014
-licenses bought from now until December the 24th 2014 will get extended to include the next major version (e.g. 2.x)
To participate you simply have to buy a license of an audioD3CK product until December the 24th 2014. You can also help by spreading the word all over the web in whatever way you like. For questions or feedback we've set up a thread on our forum over at KVR.
So let's make this a merry x-mas for all of us!

They're also having a sale, 99€ will buy you everything right now, with further plug-uns planned to be added for free when they become available.paterpeter wrote:I must be missing something, but IMO this is the direct opposite of a motivation to buy anything. Exactly, that's why these things are usually unsuccessful. If you're going to offer anything for free as an incentive to buy something make it free for the people that actually made purchases. What IK Multimedia is doing with T-Racks is the right way to do it. If you don't contribute toward the goal by making a purchase you won't get anything free.paterpeter wrote: I must be missing something, but IMO this is the direct opposite of a motivation to buy anything. I'd definitely have ChopChop if its going for free, but i can't see myself paying for another compressor right now.

I've seen this on the NO CHAT thread and just wanted to mention that you can use it to crossgrade to the full version of Kontakt. Could come in handy when Native Instruments are having their cross/upgrade sales

How does Phaedra compare with Epica? I know that it is an older product by the same guy, and Epica is a very high quality Kontakt instrument. I am just curious. The price is pretty good.cocoazenith wrote:I've seen this on the NO CHAT thread and just wanted to mention that you can use it to crossgrade to the full version of Kontakt. Not sure, but the problem may be in how it is worded, not how it works. Seems if everyone bought one and they reached the goal, it would work kind of like an ik group buy, the other stuff would become free for a week and you could get more.
