Chat told me it is still back ordered, when I mentioned someone else I know (you) ordered after and received already they 'looked into it further' then came back and said they resent the serial key email. So they DO have them in stock -- not sure why they state backordered. But the key is still not in my inbox (I'm guessing it is getting blocked at the server level). After a long rigamarole they told me to 'email' to get this sorted out, but when I asked 'who do I email?' their exact response was 'musicians friend'

Then they gave me a number to some verifications department that I'm supposed to call. So much for quick and easy. In any case, thanks for the info otherwise I'd have just been waiting for nothing...

If anything would still go wrong, I can tell you that MF is very trustworthy from my experience. They will do everything to solve this. And if XLN would not give you the free instrument you're entitled to, I believe MF will again step in. As I found out, they really have great customer service.

I suspect they are operated overseas in India so I was trying to avoid the telephone... I have an awful time with accents (after many difficult calls with HP support) as much of the reps I've talked on the phone do an awful job with enunciating words.

In any case, It was hilarious when they told me to email musicians friend.. I'm talking to an agent at musicians friend and he says email musicians friend. well duh. hahaha

MF: I can get you the number to verifications and they can help or you can email.
Me: Who do I email?
MF: Musicians Friend.
Me: Who specifically do I email at musicians friend.
MF: Let me get you that number to verifications.

I ended up picking up a Sonar X3 Producer Upgrade while it was on sale, now I simply need some good learning resources. Anyone know any? NOTE: I had Music Creator 6 before this that I rarely ever used, so I'm completely new to Sonar.

When you register, you'll receive a free tutorial video from Cakewalk. Register right away because I think that's only good till today or tomorrow.

XLN Audio did it this way for ALL vendors. They made a decision to only offer the 50% sale direct. Remember that our prices are over 10% lower than theirs to begin with, even before factoring in our extra discounts in cart, so our 2-for-1 deal was actually lower priced than their 50% off deal if you were getting 2.

Please PM me if you want to upgrade your VMR to a bundle. We certainly don't ever want you to feel like you got the bad side of a bargain and we'll do our best to help you when we can. This happens to be one of those cases where I can easily fix it.
