I think this is the genius of what the GForce team have achieved. It loads all the patches I made for v1 without problem but the new features takes it into poly Oberheim territory.

When I heard that GForce weren't updating the presets system I was a tad irked but now that decision makes much more sense. And to be honest I now use my DAW to manage all my synth presets so it's not really an issue.
Oh yes I am very pleased about this, I can load my V1 patches perfectly and they all import into Kore anyway so once I've made a usable template for it I'll just import the whole lot and manage them from there.

This is a very worthwhile upgrade - I am in duophonic squelch heaven right now.

I think much (all?) of the DSP is done by OhmForce, which probably means Laurent. At least he's the first one mentioned in "Thanks and acknowledgements" after ARP's founders.

It's not just about the DSP chops though, I always think of Dave Spiers as a hands on Creative Director for all the products GForce release. The coding is one thing but because Dave designs a good many of the factory patches he's able to feedback to his coding team exactly what he's looking for and more importantly advise on those characteristics that makes his instruments so musician friendly.

mmmm, poly oddity. Good stuff. Many vintage polysynth sounds coming out of this thing now.

Kore template made:

I made this with the Mac VST so I am not 100% certain this will work across platforms though - if I have a chance I will make a Windows one too on my laptop if it doesn't.

Bank import into Kore tested and working.

Scratch that - looks like there a bug - importing the default bank went fine but with every other bank I have tried to import it just imports the default bank again :(

Upgraded today and have been working with it the whole afternoon and I think this is going to be one of my favorite synths. I highly recommend trying out the demo. To be honest I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it is.

The 18 tutorial videos on the GForce YouTube channel are definitely worth going through too, and not just for the new features. I've owned Oddity v1 since it was first released but found myself learning a raft of new tricks going through these videos.

Wanted to try it, but my AV program put it in quarantine because it says it contains a trojan 8)

Ohh, he's grown and he's weirder, like a cousin back from an Amsterdam trip.

State of the arp!

Just waiting on my license from JRR... playing with demo meantime!

I watched thosed - it sounds really great. I really like Minimonsta because of some of those features that are now in Oddity2 (patch morphing, lfos and envelopes for almost every parameter etc) and it's a really good synth model of having something complex but still conceptually simple.

Great stuff!

Ned, that Demo was amazing, most likely your demo will be the ONLY reason i will buy Odd.2.

I've just finished installing Oddity 2 and playing around for a while. All I can say is WOW! This really exceeds my wildest expectations! It sounds so good, and poly mod is so much fun. This is without a doubt going to be one of my new go-to synths. And all the presets sound fantastic too! I kept finding myself getting inspired to start new songs every time I switched presets. I'm not usually one to gush about synths, but this is really great. Huge round of applause for the whole team at GForce. :tu: :D
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

I just tested the demo and it does sound great next to Monark and SH-2 as a polysynth.

Does anybody have a real Odyssey to compare mono/duophonic patches?
