Just officially became a Mulab 6 user after demoing it for a bit... but still have a few questions..
1) can Key Names be used instead of the standard piano key view when using Battery?
I can see Key Names when using MuDrum, but not sure if names can be shown when using a different vst instrument. It mentions something about this in the changelog for M6, but wanted to check.
2) would like to be able to drag samples from the browser on the right into Battery and Kontakt, but for whatever reason it goes directly to the Compose screen... with other Daws I can drag from their browser to both Battery/Kontakt. Is there something else that needs to happen.
thanks!

Yes key names are supported for VSTs, but the VST needs to support the "GetMidiKeyName" function to tell MuLab about its note names. I've the impression only very few VST plugs support that.bbreakz wrote:1) can Key Names be used instead of the standard piano key view when using Battery?

Indeed no supported (yet) as the drag-drop uses an internal drag-drop mecanism. But i assume you can drag-drop from Windows' explorer / Mac finder onto these VST plugs, right?would like to be able to drag samples from the browser on the right into Battery and Kontakt, but for whatever reason it goes directly to the Compose screen... with other Daws I can drag from their browser to both Battery/Kontakt. would you know if Battery 3 is supported... and/or drum maps.. unless considered the same thing in this case.

I will continue to use Kontakt & Battery's browser then.
Thanks

I don't know whether Battery supports the VST function "GetMidiKeyName". That's a question for NI. Or maybe other users know? Anyway, if it's supported then the note names should be visible in MuLab wherever a note name is used i.e. in the note key editor, the event list, etc...bbreakz wrote:would you know if Battery 3 is supported
FYI: I also have a FR on the wishlist to support user-definable note key names so you can use that feature for MUX presets besides MuDrum and VST plugins that don't support "GetMidiKeyName". But that's for a future update.

sounds great... will probably need to wait for that in this case.FYI: I also have a FR on the wishlist to support user-definable note key names so you can use that feature for MUX presets besides MuDrum and VST plugins that don't support "GetMidiKeyName". But that's for a future update.
thanks for the help!
