Looks like you're double-posting this deal, Ender.
And there's a relatively new policy here against using affiliate links, which this appears to be, yes/no?

Good to see a measured, mature response to this issue.
There may still be hope....

Indeed.
I wonder if you can get your own affiliate link and only use it for your own purchases.
It's Waves sale price less 15%?
That's about the best the dealers do too, right?
Then you get some sort of referral percentage, too?
I suppose they might need to be two separate accounts, though... could get messy.

VitaminD wrote:After that fun conversation where Musicians friend support told me to email 'Musicians Friend'VitaminD wrote:I suspect they are operated overseas in India so I was trying to avoid the telephone... I have an awful time with accents (after many difficult calls with HP support) as much of the reps I've talked on the phone do an awful job with enunciating words.
In any case, It was hilarious when they told me to email musicians friend.. I'm talking to an agent at musicians friend and he says email musicians friend. well duh. hahaha
MF: I can get you the number to verifications and they can help or you can email.
Me: Who do I email?
MF: Musicians Friend.
Me: Who specifically do I email at musicians friend.
MF: Let me get you that number to verifications.
I am still waiting for their support to email me with the license I ordered Saturday morning.
Meanwhile I've clearly missed the B1G1 offer at XLN Audio even though I ordered well within that window.
It gets better though... After getting a back order notice from MF (after they pulled the money from my account and 'completed' the order), I was informed on my 3rd or 4th message to MF support that the reason they haven't gotten to me is the department that handles verficiations and such does not work on the weekends!!!! "Someone will get with you on Monday." But no one did.. it is now Tuesday and support is still telling me to be patient.
Now one would think, on the busiest sales weekend of the year, they would have someone(s) there. Or, at the least, inform potential customers about this before they complete orders with time sensitive promotions and take money (not just held the money, but completed the transaction).
So yeah.. what a debacle. Musicians Friend support might be accommodating (jury is still out) but it is still a mechanical system and if you fall through the cracks then that does not compute with any of their planned logic flows, and thus the whole system implodes.
My support email to XLN Audio have also gone unresponded to so I guess everyone is super busy. Now I'm not really upset at this point, more watching the train wreck as it unfolds. :c0
Update to the saga:
I finally got in touch with a named person at Musicians Friend in email and, after a bit more back and forth, they finally just pasted the serial number in an email message to me. Finally (they could have done that from the start!). One support agent a couple days before this apologized for the trouble and gave me 15% credit on a future order (which equates to around 9 bucks hehe) but that was well before they actually pasted in email the serial number for which I paid! The final, named, person didn't bother to apologize just gave me the code and a link to the xlnaudio download page. I suspect they are overloaded with orders though so I can't fault them entirely.
XLN Audio support, on the other hand, is FANTASTIC. I sent them all the details of the debacle (another good reason to conduct your business in email/writing) and, after a couple of days of research, they sorted out my issue and handled it well beyond what I was expecting!
Needless to say, I will think twice and thrice (

Sorry to hear that. My experience was quite the opposite. Musician's Friend gave me the best customer support I ever received. XLN Audio much less so, I must say, as they randomly issued and tested coupon policies without specific reason. Happy with their AK products, though.

Why wouldn't it be relevant to musicians?
If it's good enough for Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, then...

A Native Instruments "Cloud Nine" question:
Have any of you gone for it and more to the point, how are you handling your duplicate licenses?
Are you selling off your old ones and replacing them from within the package or just selling the unused/unregistered ones that came in the package?
Anyone know if NI is allowing it to be done either way?
