I get two notes for each note I record

I'm only noticing this with Synthmaster. When I record myself playing in my DAW, I get two notes close to each other (by about 1/32 of a note) for each note I play. I'm using Sonar X3. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

That IS strange. Normally I would say to check your MIDI connections. Sometimes having both Windows driver and Direct driver causes that effect. Disabling one or the other can fix it.
But you say it is only Synthmaster. Have you changed any of the master settings?

I uninstalled Synthmaster, and deleted any left over files, and reinstalled (getting the latest zip file from the web site). I still have the problem. Any ideas?

In the DAW that you use is there any MIDI in connected to a MIDI out?

I fixed the problem by assigning MIDI channel 1 as the input from my keyboard. The default input is omni. It's weird that I have to do that, since all other synths work fine with omni.

Yes I suspected something of that kind, a abnormal affectation of a MIDI channel or a loop between MIDI channels.mleghorn wrote:I fixed the problem by assigning MIDI channel 1 as the input from my keyboard. Being a weird behavior that you meet only with Synthmaster I think that it could be something which would merit a little investigation with a tool like rs-met MIDI Monitor that I like a lot for that kind of issue. With several instances of the tool well placed in the chain of treatments to delimit exactly where it occurs.

If you could email me a test midi file I can try to reproduce the issue. Without a test case, it is hard to duplicate issues.
