Ahh, I don't think we have to worry about KVR running out of financial resources considering the prices we have to pay for banner campaigns around here.

@paterpeter

Thanks for the explanation. It seems it only happens to some links so that's why it seemed odd. Combined with the fact that it was in an essentially off-topic post by a user who has had a number of threads deleted for Waves affiliate links, it all seemed a bit odd.

That being said, you may very well be right and I jumped the gun here. If so, my apologies to goldengate.

running a forum like this can at times (just guessing) be a largely thankless job. so, if there is a way to earn a few $$ while doing it, w/o turning everyone off.. then i think that's great. i'm sure the hosting fees are enormous.

anyway.. looperator.. blah blab blah blah.. why they do it man?

For someone who doesn't have Turnado, Effectrix and the other one, this might be the one to get. I have the others on my ipad and i suspect this will end up on the ipad soon anyway.. im very tempted though!

Looperator & Turnado look like great fun for live shows, but I don't know if the quality of the effects would hold up too well in production stuff for me. I dunno some of the effects sound harsh.

I might buy these in the future for fun though!

I only have Wow2(it's great), but shopping and deciding between so similar products has kept me from buying any in regards to effectrix, turnado, and looperator. There seems to be so much overlap. I mention this in hopes that the people at sugar bytes read it and take note.

Then would you like a bundle owner to give you his verdict? :D

Looperator - don't bother
Turnado - so many options and sounds, you can lose yourself in this for weeks.
Effectrix - very instant and easy to use. Perfect for people who want instant sounds without the tweaking Turnado offers.

There's no overlap between Effectrix and Turnado in my opinion. Effectrix is for simple sound manipulation, Turnado is there for deep mangling. It all depends on what you really want to do with your sound

Hello, brothers!
I have a little problem.
For example I create several tracks (audio-track with drum loop and empty midi track)
On midi track i made routing to looperator.
When I open plagin window, I see in right corner two mode - play and host. When I choose host, sound doesn't change by looperator.
What I need to do if i want to use host mode in Looperator?

Isn't that to sync tempo with host?

I bought looperator and I would love it except that the sequencer doesn't allow for small enough subdivisions of a beat for a time base. It could be incredibly useful and the reordering of fx along with slice randomizing gives lots of great possibilities. I wouldn't pay full axing price for it but it's definitely worth half off.

I'm surprised by all the negative feedback about Looperator. It instantly clicked with me, and I feel it's a major step up from Effectrix, in terms of both look and layout, as well as the effects themselves. I feel Looperator is much more practical, usable, and musical than Effectrix.

I was curious to see if it was just me, or if others shared my high opinion, and it turns out Music Radar really digs it, too:

But I don't own Effectrix (not the VST version, anyway). I'm sure I would feel a bit different about Looperator if I had bought it and/or Turnado.

The price is a wee bit high, though, imo, but there's a sale on it until April 9th.

I like Effectrix's GUI much better but I agree Looperator simply sounds better than Effectrix and is easier to dial in immediate glitched-out goodness. Turnado is my favorite of the 3 though.

I own both effectrix and looperator and find them both to be great tools. I originally thought they were too much of the same, but after trying the demo of Looperator, I realized it had some unique features which made it a good addition to effectrix. I tried to like Turnado but it just didn't gel with me.

Both could use some updates though as like so many of the tools out there I feel like the developers get them to the "good enough" level and then don't update them to the awesome level which they could be at.

My thoughts on the two:

- looperator overall FX sound quality to me is better than effectrix
- looperator becomes really powerful when you learn to create your own "user" fx
- I often wish the grid for looperator could go faster by at least one level imo
- effectrix has more fine control of when the effects are triggered
- I wish effectrix had curved automation as well as stepped

I really hope we see some updates for both from Sugar Bytes one day

Could you overcome the beat sync by triggering it via midi? It would be retriggering steps but you could create rolls using different note lengths but yeah more subdivisions would make it much more useful for slicing, i hardly use it for that. Great plugin overall though.
