still trying to download 2.01. cuts off at 2megabytes. server must be really busy. will try again later tonight..

I'm running the demo in Logic Pro X (Yosemite). I created one track, stuck Nora on it, made a simple arp of 16th notes on Nora's track 1, and configured track 1's output midi to channel 1. I created a midi region in Logic on Nora's track that plays a held C major triad for four bars. I then created a new track in Logic, threw a synth on it, and set the track to listen to midi channel 1. When I play the song, the first 3-4 notes are cut off .. almost like there is some significant latency. Any ideas why this is?

Two feature requests from my side:
16 tracks and up to 64 patterns per track
or unlimited number of tracks and unlimited number patterns per track.
Because the usage of Nora2 is very flexibel it could be that users would like to use maybe 3 or 10 or 24 tracks and having more patterns per track would improve also the flexibility.

Beside this, really great work !
Thanks! I'm not sure if I can allow unlimited tracks in the next patch, but this will come in a close future. Patterns however will be increased inmediately. About self-hosting VST: this is a new world and I need some time to research. As someone said before, the last thing I want for Nora is overstack its interface or reduce its workflow. That simply will never happen ;) Any user must be able to use Nora like 1.0.

Does it happens once the host continues playing and repeating the same loop? Or only when you start playing it?

You are right with NOT overstacking the interface or reducing the workflow. There are enough overblown DAWs on the market and especially for an ARP-DAW everything should be as simple to use as possible so that time can be used for fast creative prozesses.

Beside this, can I play an simple ARP with the keyboard like in "old" classic ARPs. I could not get this to work and I am new to this software.
If it's not possible, it would be a great feature !

Only the first bar and only when I start playing. If I loop it, when it wraps around to play the first bar again, it sounds fine.

Would a video help?

The first notes not playing in Logic Pro has been around for a while.

Not saying this is the reason in this specific case but one problem has been when starting your composition at bar 0.

Try starting you composition further along the time line; for instance bar 2.

This will likely solve the problem Naeyn.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Any idea what causes it? i'm so used to starting at the beginning...

Does Nora work on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard? I put the folders where they are supposed to go according to the instructions (no issue there as it's the same for most if not all plugs) and Abelton Live 8.4 doesn't see the AU or VST.
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Naenyn, Here's another forum's post that may help you better understand. I really do not know the technical reasons. There are also some useful tips in the post:
http://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56764

I had this problem too when I used Logic and began setting the start of my compositions 2, or more, bars in.

I got used to doing this and still do today with any DAW I use. I find the technique useful, for example, if I decide to add something to the front end of the song. Now, having started deeper into the time line it makes it easier to add on the front.

I hope this is the problem you have and the solution is easy then.

This looks like a very interesting and useful tool. I'll give it a Demo shot in Sonar X3 Producer and see what pans out......hopefully, no DAW specific issues. I do have Catanya and found it to be buggy at times....

I had the same problem with the 64bit version on OSX 10.8. I had to install the 32bit version and use Jbridge to get it to work.
