i too am on Sonar and i have many midi vst and arpeggiators in particular including catanya and time core. if you experience glitches or problems with NORA, don't blame it, blame Cakewalk for never addressing the midi plugin problems. that is why i asked for the capture to SMF feature. i could improvise in energyXT and import SMF to Sonar.StickyWicket wrote:This looks like a very interesting and useful tool. I'll give it a Demo shot in Sonar X3 Producer and see what pans out......hopefully, no DAW specific issues. I do have Catanya and found it to be buggy at times....

Perhaps I'm not handling the midi routing as intended. Considering the fact that Nora2 does not show up as a Logic "Midi FX", but instead as an instrument, how would you suggest I go about routing the midi output from Nora to another track in Logic?dsan@mail.com wrote:It could also be an issue with timing.squaredheads wrote:That tells me that there is pretty high chances that the problem is in the host itself or your virtual MIDI port. If, for example, the clip starts playback ahead of the transport, the MIDI will not send properly. Another software I use had this issue and was easily solved by fixing the timing.
Have you given any thought to creating a "Midi FX" version of Nora? That would certainly simplify things for Logic users. If you have access to Logic Pro X and Xfer's Cthulhu, give it a try to see what I mean.

Until 30th December 2014. Ask for it to SantaCaine123 wrote:thanks a lot, trying the demo out now! and how long does the promo last? i needa restock money ;D.
Nora is not a normal arpeggiator. In fact when I started to develop it I was thinking into calling it "Chord chopper", which is more accurate, but it's also more unknown. Phrase sequencer is another vague term that I used few times.Caine123 wrote: 1. is there a normal arpmode? lile just 1/16 up, down etc. for 1 key - many more keys? without having to paste notes?
2. i dunno the option or how it's called but in bluearp or builtin arps i can draw a note then draw some notes up, down etc. at the same time and the arp changes a bit up and down etc. love it but couldnt get this to work here yet.
What does it mean? Nora can emulate a classic up/down/etc arpeggiator, but it cannot generate it. When you're using a classic arpeggiator and you select 1/8 up, if you use a 4-key chord, the arpeggiator will know that it needs to fit with keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 and then repeat. But Nora nature prevent I can do that, because you define the arpeggio
It means that if you want to create a classic 3 note arpeggios you need to setup the clock to internal sync, and create a 3-note per octave preset. And if you want to use a 4 key chord, you will need switch the pattern to a 4-note per octave.
As a sidenote, this is Nora when I was calling it a Chord Chopper

Actually it is. But it's possible that the problem is from the Virtual MIDI port which is out from the Nora scope. I reading the Logic MIDI FX documentation, but without Logic X to test I cannot do too much atm. I'll send a request to Apple for a NFR.dsan@mail.com wrote:It could also be an issue with timing.

You don't need to download the license in each update, only the installer (save a copy in your HD). Anyway we can reset the counter manually it if you need it.woodsdenis wrote:Just an FYI, Downloaded the update, got an email and downloaded the App no prob , the license key was labelled as corrupt on OSX .
In this stage of release when you are updating a lot, the 5 license key a month rule will run out, as one is generated every time we download a new version ?

A midi fx version would be great, I use it in the Bluecat Patchwork which is very good.Naenyn wrote:Perhaps I'm not handling the midi routing as intended. yellukhan did a couple of vids on page 9. More to come I think.
Not sure of status on vids at Squaredheads site.
What's holding you back? I don't use Reaper but routing is pretty simple in the other DAW's I use.
Drop Nora on a track. Feed it some notes or chords, select a pattern. Feed the output to your VST.
