No I think he was referring to Robert Henke' Granulator instrument, for Max For Live. Well, I think…VariKusBrainZ wrote:Is this referring to KTgranulator?Neon Breath wrote:Very different, and far more superior imo. Yep, I was referring to Henke's. That one is goodfor glitchy stuff so I was wondering if there is one better for melodic stuff.

Just bought this. It's still a bit buggy but it sounds GOOD. Does anyone know how to disable the mapping and just let it play notes across the entire range of a keyboard?

this is also my main gripe and not having a good timestretch option?v1o wrote:Just bought this. It's still a bit buggy but it sounds GOOD. Does anyone know how to disable the mapping and just let it play notes across the entire range of a keyboard?

timestretch option? i've been putting old classic rave stabs into the mangle and stretching those short stabs into long playable notes, it works amazingly well.

I can't test it ATM, but it should work if you set the range of the separate slots to entire keyboard range.v1o wrote:Just bought this. It's still a bit buggy but it sounds GOOD. Does anyone know how to disable the mapping and just let it play notes across the entire range of a keyboard?

i didnt find it either to load in a sample and play on the whole keyboard range with it.spktkpkt wrote:I can't test it ATM, but it should work if you set the range of the separate slots to entire keyboard range.v1o wrote:Just bought this. First thing I did was creating a preset with only one layer active and spanning the whole keyboard.
That's what I always start with:

To load a sample, just drag and drop it to the waveform window or use the upper right folder icon. The range settings are under "midi & macro""Key Map"., I guess...but I'm not sure (not on my PC ATM).Caine123 wrote:i didnt find it either to load in a sample and play on the whole keyboard range with it.spktkpkt wrote:I can't test it ATM, but it should work if you set the range of the separate slots to entire keyboard range.v1o wrote:Just bought this. If you play sample at very different pitch (other than root note), it naturally gets scretched or compressed. I think that's what emef meant.Caine123 wrote:where did you do that? i can only find the rate the grains are playedemef wrote:timestretch option? i've been putting old classic rave stabs into the mangle and stretching those short stabs into long playable notes, it works amazingly well.

yeah ok, but afaik it isnt really timestretching, sample playback 100% and then it should be adjustable.DJ Warmonger wrote:If you play sample at very different pitch (other than root note), it naturally gets scretched or compressed. Of course Mangle DOES timestrectching, it’s pure granular synthesis so it’s obviously doing it. You have to modulate the position parameter with a lfo, simple as that
