(oops, wrong one the first time)

Can't wait. The smooth and fast workflow sounds like a joy to build patches.

And I, for one, love the interface. I like anything "hive"-like:

HiveHaus (awesome UK modular housing, look it up)
Hivemind (Star Trek)
bees
the shape itself
Hive.

Pleasant lines cradling the central hexagon.

Hive again (Clean engine)

The Arp/Sequencer combo plus the easy (and surprisingly flexible) modulation is really inviting. Hive is low on CPU and low on effort (in a good way).

Yeah, there's currently a "base tempo" and individual multipliers for left and right. While it allows for such fancy things as 5/16 delays, I figure it makes things more complicated and restricts the delay in other ways.

I think I'll drop this today in favour of a selection of common lengths for either side.

There's also a continuous delay time multiplier going from 50% to 150% tucked away in the ModMatrix.

I personally don't usually like this delay. In Diva i will generally try to use a delay that is less 'fiddly'. In my opinion the general U-he '1-100' parameter thing is quite a limitation. Why not actual speed and frequency etc!??

5/16 delays sound great to me, but I'm sure you're right :sniff: :D

sweets, i am sure you will come up with something, which will work for us and in EDM.

if you need more input, just put a shout here.
(i found the idea of 5/16 for a example really good, ok after i got it explained. :hihi: i will see how the delay will end up in the public beta.)

Just a few days before enjoying the Hive. Knowing Urs, that can't be anything else than awesome !
I admit I didn't read all the 38 pages of this thread but I wonder if anyone have an idea of :
- the price
- the number of presets

?

Post

Between Bazille and Diva ($149 was mentioned weeks ago as a possibility in another thread)
Initial price will be $99 and customer survey coupon is applicable.

I dont' even think Urs knows the number of presets, as I am not even sure if all the intended sound designers even have it.
I think since it is in alpha stage and the sound may change, preset work hasn't really started as yet.

I dont think its at a stage thats safe to make presets yet.
