Short little 'full track demo'

Simple lead line, crunchy mid bass, easy sub bass and an arpeggiated acid line.

I'm most impressed with the distorted acid you can get out of Hive so far. VERY nice

A few weeks ago I bought Diva. The supersaw in Diva is superb. Why should I buy Hive? Anything better or different?

i have to try HIVE more out still! no nagging here cause this is a great present and not the final product but atm im not seeing why hive is superior to sylenth1 cause the sound isnt so fat in your face yet for me.

It's different concepts. Diva masters the classic version of supersaw found in the Roland synths, with all the artifacts and character that make these stand out.

Hive otoh is supposed to excel at the more modern type of supersaw which is less organic and maybe a bit more surgical.

It's a matter of taste I'd say.

I also had a little play last night, think I'm definitely going to have to get hold of this synth 8)

Hive isn't a replacement for the JP-8000 in DIVA but it can super more than one type of wave and detune far more stacks of waves. I like both as much as each other but they can't do each others sound.

Nice demos guys :tu:

I find Hive's sound very nice and clean. Easy to program and easy on the CPU, love it!

seems like i need to make me a new init preset, the current one confuses me.
Click the little triangle at the top-left of a mod matrix slot and select 'Osc Phase Control'. Mod depth1 one will control the phase of Osc1 and Mod Depth2 will control the phase of Osc2.

Thanks for showing this. Had not found it yet myself.

Playing around with it some more, I'm not sure Hive really needs a factory preset library. Because it is so easy to get tweaking en get your own sounds. It's very inviting.

It's drawing you in like: "We are synth, you will be assimilated, resistance is futile"
+1 :tu: thanks! also need to take a look to everything that's in the list

Hey URS - great synth. Seriously was waiting to drop the voucher on DIVA. Now really might have to buy both. hmmm...

Anyway - quick bit of feedback. What would be great would be a little on/off toggle on each OSC / filter / SUB OSC - rather than having to turn the volume right down, a little button, like the solo one would be great.

cheers, s

Nice stuff! :)
I make music like I play Tekken; randomly push buttons and hope for something good to happen.
