Filtering incoming MIDI

Hi all,
Is there a way that I can set ranges for incoming MIDI velocity levels so that they're only recorded as one or two values?
For example:
I have a multi-layered soundfont which I'm playing through sfz (a cowbell-- "I've got a fever... and the only cure is MORE COWBELL!") but I only want to trigger the top two samples, which are in the ranges 109-120 and then 121-127.
Unfortunately, my keyboard is ass-tastic and no matter how hard I hammer, I only rarely get that top sample. So I want to set it so that any incoming velocity of 1-100 gets recorded as "110", and anything from 101-127 gets recorded as "127".
I dunno if that makes sense! Any help is appreciated.
Greg

I wrote a really really crappy plugin to do that some years back. It was actually one of my practise vst plugs.
If you want it, you can have it, but it comes with no warranty.

Valley,
I'm an intrepid Tracktioneer. I need no steenkeen' warranty.
As a bit of an aside, here's the REAL reason I need it:
My friends and I are recording an 80's-style rock song (think Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister), but I'm one of the only actual musician. The MOST non-musical of my group will have the joke role of playing the cowbell, using one finger and the MIDI keyboard. However, I'm going to spoof him into thinking he did a better job than he actually did, by limiting the samples he can trigger, and by quantising his playing. <chuckle> He'll never know it happened, and will be pleasantly surprised at his contribution.
I guess, conversely, I could dissolve the soundfont (can't remember which software does that, though), yoink the 2 cowbell samples, and do a simple mapping with sfz.
Still, I'll have that plugin if it's available.

maybe one of ndc's plugs (WIN and OSX) can do this, nice collection of midi plugins.

That's true. Try NiallM's plugs first. If there isn't something in there that fits your needs, PM me.

I'll have a peek, thanks.
