Definitively korg gadget + korg module, If you search a good groovebox / reason like apps
you can spend 5 € here, 15 or 25 € there but those 2 korg apps deserve the 70 € they ask,
As it is this app cover mostly all you need : drum machine, synth, drumsampler, sample player and fx inside the same unified app. And it sounds amazingly good.

I hope they will continue to work on it now that touch osc is released as version 3! Most likely they've learned a lot from the development of Touch Osc they can use in d(--)blococontrol wrote:if you like djing d(- -)b app (yes silly name) is for me working better than Traktor dj.

As for other apps... Korg Gadget seems to be the one that keeps being on top for me. Sound generation is excellent and the export is the best!
I saw there was an option in patch notes where you could export with or without trails. Didn't find such option now, but i exported to dropbox (not as a live project). At least you can export separate tracks this way too now!
Aha, i see now, exporting to AudioCopy there's an option of 0ms tail or 5000ms tail. Though only one track at a time

Ok, i found two new ones........
Elastic Drums ... GET IT! Im too tired to write a review but i can say that the drum synthesis is fantastic, sequencer is good, effects are great and easy to export trimmed loops (1,2,4,8 bars).
It works with iPad though a true iPad version will come out early 2015. There's just some graphical issues now with a mute button barely visible (but you can see it in mixer) ... not a biggie!
Another one that i am fond of but unsure of stability is Beat-Machine. It's basically an mpc or similar. Resampling, drumsynthesis (both require IAP $1 .. so that's $2). It has some crazy humanize effect. With the vinyl emulation and samplerate reducer etc you can make some really gritty sound to resample. Add the humanize and swing and you can make some really cool loops! No direct loop export so you have to go via audiobus and loopy HD.
