I just found that Bazille is incredible for creating drone sounds! I also found that you can create a very nice sine wave with the filter when you crank it into self-oscillation which can be used to make drones sounds.

Here's a starter patch for you to mess with :)

This is what the drone patch looks like when you first start it up!

This is how the patch will look when it's actually making some sound.

Small tutorial of what I did.

1. For my audio demo I created a very long midi clip with just one also very long C1 note. You could probably just use a smaller 32 step clip loop and tweak the ENV1 so it uses a slow attack and long release.

2. After my Midi was going, the first thing I did to get some audio was tune the PM Coarse knobs a bit. Nothing really drastic, just a bit here and there until and i got a bit of sound.

3. Once i had some sound I began to tune the "Tune" knobs and "Modify" knobs to really get different sounds going!

3. Don't crank the knobs too much, just do subtle changes with them, unless you want extreme results.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Thanks - having trouble downloading though, yet another file Safari insists on converting to text.

Fixed it by compressing the file in a Zip file :)

Cheers

Cheers - now I wish Apple would fix this Safari behaviour, it's always done this.

I ended up using Firefox over safari now and I've never really used safari since. I know the frustration of clicking on something and having the browser open it and show it as a bunch of gibberish.

Nice patch!
I love using small amounts of feedback to make things like this a bit unpredictable. Try routing the output of Mult1 to the input of the filter and nudge the gain up little by little.
