I have to admit that it looks like Hive does not sound bad, but if it sounds that good in draft quality mode how good it can sound in divine quality mode like Diva has.
I wonder is Uhe is planing to put ability to select quality modes for Hive?!!

There's nothing "draft" about Hive's sound. Don't overreact.

Chilly7 needs a divine quality mode because he wants to save the world!

I doubt it... Hive doesn't need it. It doesn't have features that would use it so the extra CPU use would be wasted anyway.

If you want those features and a Divine mode, use Diva.

The whole idea of the synth is bread and butter, quick and easy, with very minimal CPU.

I don't think you really need that in this synth, plus it will defeat the purpose. Efficient usage of CPU resources.

Correct me if i am wrong but it looks like it has some features which are not awailable in Diva. Also i like how clean and non aggressive it sounds. So again i wonder how good it can sound in the best quality mode.
P.s. I request this feature now because now it is in the work and it will be much more easy to implement this feature but not when it will be done and to implement this feauture will be much harder.

The whole point is NOT to have the same features in all synths u-he does... Hive doesn't need quality modes Diva has, it's a different principle and aims for different things. Understand this.

i would love it if hive had a divine type mode. please urs :)

So another one who doesn't understand the point of Hive...

Reminds me of some Diva discussions about needing MSEGs or a mod matrix...

The main reason I bought Hive was Urs' claim to keep the CPU use at a minimum - and I really hope he stands to his words while implementing new features. It makes no sense to construct a kind of Zebra-/Diva-/Hive hybrid.

Low cpu is the point of the synth. Adding features that will compromise cpu usage is just silly.

Limitation is also a key factor. You're supposed to work with Hive limitation because it was never designed to be the complex synth like Zebra.

You want complex synth, go get Zebra. You want zdf and authentic analog osc, go get Diva. You want new and interesting synth, go get Bazille.

Diva compromises in CPU usage.
Hive compromises in feature set.
I haven't done a synth that compromises in sound quality.

YES!! This is vision - something a lot of people (in AND out of the arts) should learn to have
