Hi,

MDrumLeveler is brilliant for cleaning up drums. I Like it. Christmasgift of the year. thx.

A few feature request for it.
  • Being able to output midi notes and velocity for each event identified by MDrumLeveler. i.e. to trigger a drumsample in MDrummer.
  • An "ignore event" side-chain signal. i.e. ignore possible events if they exists both in the main and side-chain signal.
  • An option to control all instances from the same plugin - like in Analyzer where on can see the audio signal from all choose instances. Perhaps event supplemented with a feature where one can choose events from one instance should be suppressed in another instance (ignore events).
Best Regards,
Nicolai Bob

Hi Nicolai,

thank you!

Now the requests:
- MIDI notes - it would basically make it a drum replacer, I already thought about it, the problem is, not sure if it's possible. For example, if the track gets delayed, the MIDI events will be delayed as well, and I have no idea if hosts would compensate for the MIDI. It would probably end up with dedicated MDrumReplacer, which will do the audio as well, not sure though.

- Ignore event - that sounds like an interesting idea, the problem is, it would need a hell of a lot new controls. In fact you'd need a whole set of thresholds for example, not sure about that really, I'll think about it though. I'd suggest using the compressor trick (see docs). Though when I think about it, it could merge the levels from main signal and sidechain...hmmm... there may be a solution after all :).

- Multi-instances - sorry that would be extremely complicated. But I'll take it as a note for the "mixing revolution thingy" in the future :)
