Just bought this masterpiece. Should have tested it a bit more.
The GUI has some serious problems with resizing.
When I switch presets and my mouse leaves the preset window the window will resize itself.
Also pretty often it looks like the mouse cursor grabs the corner of the preset window causing it to resize. It also drags presets around at times.
It looks like it thinks the mouse button is pressed when it isn't.
I'm using Ableton 9.1.7b4

Hmmm, you are using a betaversion of Live, that could be the problem. I'll check with a stable release though. But you need to tell be if you are on Windows or OSX and which version exactly, also 32 or 64 bit?

@Melda
First of all I want to say thank you for this great synth!
And also bet for a new feature in an upcoming update
Make Osc2 and 3 capable of sampleplayback, please.
This in conjunction with the convolution feature would be
outstanding and could lift MPowersynth above all other vsts!
Best,
Guido

Now about the samples - I'm afraid that won't be possible. Simply because when it comes to sampling, you'd need really a full sampler...and that's a lot of settings and technical stuff. It's planned for another project though.

Ok so I tried in newest Live (not the beta though) on Win 7 64bit and everything seems fine. Could you perhaps try in the stable release? And potentially record a screen video so I can see what is this about?

@melda
No, no!
No full featuresdsampler.
Think my request more as a simple waveplayer for own wav's.
Like the one you already implemented, just for longer files
(Mayby five to ten seconds), not only singlecycle.
And then slower an faster playback, with keyfollow...
Just basic, but woundn't that enhance the soundcapabilities?
By the way, the modulation feature of the partials in the wavetabel
is just awsome.
Best, Guido

Thank you Guido!
I'm afraid I have to deny the sampler though. It looks like that to you now, but I'm 100% sure if it would be added, I would immediately become spammed by questions like "can you add this and that and that..." and eventually it would be more harm than good because it's better to have no feature than a really bad feature...

Yes, I understand your point.
Sampling would be a neverending story...
No Problem, MPowersynth got enough features for a lifetime
Just one more thing
:
is it possible to morph between two spectrums without modulating
any overtone themselves?
Something like blending between two snapshots of the harmonic table?
Best, Guido

Yes - you can simply use Osc 1 and Osc 2 and then use Osc 2 / Ratio to morph between them

Soooo..... using MPS in real projects more heavily, and now the FX galore strikes back at my CPU badly
I have an old full grown project (about 9 VSTi tracks plus several samples/Kontakt tracks and lots of effects), and I tried replacing every synth by MPowerSynth. So I did, 9 instances of MPS plus the rest, and now my CPU is dead
If I open the project my ASIO meter is already at 100% just from what MPS and and effects consume in idle mode. Yes, it is expected that MPS causes more load because it has high quality effects running (stereo generator, dynamics, convolution reverb, and what not) but I didn't expect it that high.
There are already several settings for controlling CPU efficiency, like OSC quality, filter quality, modulator protection, which is very good. However, no control for the FX section. Any chance of having a quality setting there, too? Per FX or for the whole section.
Also, a macro kind of "global quality" setting which controls with one knob all these specific settings would be cool. That global switch would only have 3 levels or so (eco/normal/high).
Cheers, Thorsten

Nope, not possible. What makes you think it even can be done more effectively?
If you have a compressor in FX section, it's like having a compressor in the host, that's just how it is. Most of the effects are actually very fast, but if you have too many effects, then obviously that's what you have to expect. Also not that sampling is generally much faster process than synthesis, so the main engine will also take more than if you used Kontakt. But the audio quality is better of course.
For the record, optimization could be to downsample
- if you work in 48k, it could downsample to 24k a process that
. That's riddiculous of course...
