Couldn't agree more! After years I still don't save presets because it is a pain in the ass!

Sort it out please.

Any update on this? I took my D16 plugins out of the dusty old VST box and remembered why I left it there when I tried saving presets...

I've just now had to RTFM and figure this out - got a Redopter patch I can't lose. It's unclear how to do it properly from the get-go, but actually not that hard once you figure it out. I understand they're going for something conceptual here with the hardware emulation experience... I can't quite grasp if it's just a capricious limitation or genius.

^^ I take that back. I did manage to create a new folder, save some presets in Redopter, but they only exist in that instance of Redopter. If I create a new session and put an instance of Redopter on a channel, just the factory presets are there. This is pretty much like any other plugin I have, where you create a "user folder" and save presets - they're available and there for any future instance of the plugin.

No idea what I'm doing wrong.

That's the frustrating part I remember. It's just sloppy, annoying, and not straight forward. It should be very simple: When a user saves a preset; they are saved in some obvious folder, the user can easily select these presets in the plugin, and the user can easily delete, reorder and/or rename the preset files through Windows explorer.

Still no news on updates to their effects line based on their News page. Lots of Focus on Lush 101 it seems.

D-16, thanks for the 1.4.0 update. Though, I'm disappointed that it didn't do anything to address preset management. (Also, I kept getting a new error saying I was missing msvcp100.dll file, so I had to search the web for solutions. I had to install C++ 2010 library for x86 and x64)

Saving a preset and loading them in these D-16 effect plugins is a PITA. I found it hilarious that one of the most important steps to actually saving a preset is presented in the manual as a tiny side note "Note: Before saving the preset to a file, save it in Decimort using CTRL + Browse when On demand function is selected in the plug-in configuration."

Plugin preset handling should be effortless. I had such high hopes waiting over two years after a D-16 member said they were working on the preset system for this update. Well, the update came and preset management is still the worst I've ever used. Such a shame because the plugins sound great.
