Tracktion Software

I am trying to use the Vectir remote android app to control the transport buttons on T5. The idea was to be able to start and stop recording while sitting with a guitar or standing singing in front of a microphone. With typical Microsoft apps, I can just zoom into the region I want and when I tap the screen the cursor moves to the right place and activates the function. With Tracktion active I cannot control the cursor with the remote and I can't click any of the controls. Is there something unusual about the Tracktion GUI that prevents it being remote manipulated in this way?

Just to add to the confusion, the Vectir remote app works fine with T2 (I just tried it), but it doesn't work with T5.

I think VNC works great with Tracktion. Splashtop works even better for me.
