Hi! After many years with a rev. A, I finally got a Qu4ttro. I've been trying to get my software running, but the K9 installers on Plugorama and Muse are all 404. I'd rather not open a support ticket for 45 bucks just to point out that the links aren't working...

Nick, thanks a million!
For some reason, I kept getting a 404... I'm trying to squeeze in some quick programming for an upcoming production and K9 is the one thing I can't manage without. I'm opening a support ticket right now to transfer the license (can't get hold of the seller), but getting started on K9 was my main priority.
Right now, I've got most of my plugs up and running, and as a test I fired up AAS Ultra Analog on all 16 channels with inserts in every slot. I played a 6-note chord and my CPU didn't even reach 50%. The Qu4ttro is a MONSTER.
Thanks again, it's great to see the commitment You have to helping us users out!

Almost there - all K9 files placed in the right folder, but theKomplete9-run-[...].rpm doesn't seem to work... I've followed the youtube instructions slavishly, but nothing happens when I try to use the installer. Any ideas?
Edit: If I change to the 'classic' interface, I can see 2097 files waiting to be installed. Before I tried this, that box was empty. Is this a good idea or will I mess something up?

Ok, since my support ticket still hasn't gone through, I tried installing from mixer mode. I got the reply that I need to use Windows 7 for the installing, and all my files are now in the "failed" folder, nothing installed. This is starting to stress me out a little since I have a LOT of upcoming work and I'd rather not spend a whole day loading DVD:s. Is there any way to retrieve the files that are now "failed"?
If anybody from Muse is reading this, please see if you can speed up the registration process - I really need help with this. Otherwise, I'll have to go MainStage for the rehearsals, and that would be a HUGE waste of time...

Congratulations on the qu4ttro!....I've had one for about a year and a half now....I had Muse install my programs before they shipped it to me and I still had a lot of trouble trying to authorize 9 Ultimate....So much so I don't have a clue how I successfully did it because I tried a lot of different ways before successfully authorizing it....Spectrasonics on the other hand was easy, straight forward and have had no issues, runs solid....9 Ultimate seems to run solid except for the drum libraries...I have the Modern kit saved as a preset and it runs for about 5 minutes and then the audio stops working....I have to physically shut the unit down and restart before it will play audio again for that sound....I can load and play Spectrasonics stuff fine without rebooting but the drums won't make a sound until a reboot....Other than that, it's all good....Good Luck figuring it out and enjoy the qu4ttro, it's a beast!....moon

Thanks! Everything's worked out now thanks to Muse support. It turns out that a version of Komplete had been installed and removed by the previous owner, and although he had done a good job cleaning up the install file was still there, preventing me from installing but without giving me a hint of what was going on. I didn't install Battery or any of the drums since I don't use them - if anything, I use one-shot sounds and samples from both Vengeance and Battery. For me it's 99% a live tool.
Did you install the Spectrasonics plugs easily? I remember getting Atmosphere into my Rev A Receptor as being rather troublesome since I'm a Mac guy and needed to install on a PC first and retrieve certain files...!
It's indeed a beast, I'm using it as a sound source and mixer and I'm currently running 13 channels varying instruments and effects... Haven't gotten the CPU over 50% yet. For this gig, I use two instances of Session Strings in Kontakt 5, three instances of Miroslav Strings, 2 X OP-X Pro, Massive, VB3 and 2 X Predator as well as submixing my Kurzweil PC3K7, vocoder and Minimoog Voyager.

I'm glad to hear you got it working....Actually Muse installed Omnisphere and Trillian for me along with Ultimate 9 when I bought the unit....I should have clarified so sorry for that.....I just mean't authorizing the Spectrasonics stuff was much easier for me than authorizing the Native Instruments....I did manage to successfully do it after several attempts without contacting anyone but don't have a clue how I did it....LOL....Actually the drums I'm talking about is in the Kontakt 5 library and not Battery....I'm guessing it has something to do with how large the drum library is because the rest of the K5 libraries seem to play back fine....I just use the Qu4ttro to free up the cpu on the Mac Pro when composing....I also have the drum libraries installed on the Mac Pro so I just use it there instead and use the qu4ttro for everything else....No biggie....moonanalogaddict wrote:Thanks!
